Hi, we're not sure, but is this what your looking for? Good luck and have a super great week!!! Diatomaceous Earth - Product Listing Diatomaceous Earth / DE Supplements & Products Buy Diatomaceous Earth to kill fleas, ticks, bed bugs and parasites naturally |
Oh, sorry for not clarifying... I wouldn't use the type for pools. I've read up on it, I read up on everything especially before I put it on my babygirl. :p |
I read to just sprinkle it on her bed, carpet and upholstery. Then to put some on her. I was looking for the food grade kind. However, I've now read something that says to wear a mask when you use it so now I'm not wanting to use it. We're not infested with fleas... I saw what I believe was ONE on her. I haven't seen anymore and I've examined her to the T AND then used a comb and examined her even more. I don't get it. Around a few months ago when she was spayed and I brought her home from the vet, she had fleas. I started her on the Comfortis, put some flea powder junk on my carpets and that was that. She seemed fine after all that and I hadn't seen any fleas... until now. I kept her off the Comfortis last month because I assumed fleas were taken care of. This is so aggravating. Is it possible that she just had that 1 flea on her? It still bothers me not knowing where it came from. I need to do something to boost her immune system so they'll leave her the hell alone. |
She does not go outside??? |

Wow, I do not want to criticize as we all have our own way of doing things and I can see how much you love your Yorkie. I just cannot imagine a dog not being allowed to go outside for exercise, walking to discover new smells and the pure joy they get from running full speed. You are obviosly very caring about your dog's health. Exercise is as important or more important to health than worrying about the chemicals in comfortis. |

Lilly gets enough exercise running around in my house playing with her toys and with my boyfriend & I. Where I live, I'm not comfortable with taking her out, I wouldn't even begin to let her step foot in my yard. When we lived at the apartment we lived at before, I'd take her out every now and then but not a lot. That's all beside the point though, I shouldn't have to explain myself to you and I feel really stupid for even beginning to. She's MY babygirl, let me take care of her how I wish to. It's not like I deprive her of exercise. It's also not like I started this thread asking if everyone thought Lilly got enough exercise or if everyone thought I should be taking her outside. I don't right now and I'm not going to start anytime soon. In my opinion, if you can't answer the question I initially asked then just hit that little X in the corner and go about your merry little way. DON'T judge me and preach to me about something I didn't even ask about. Go "try to not criticize" someone else. |
Wow, that's quite a reply. It's ok for us to have different opinions on the importance of a dog being allowed to go outside. If we all had the exact same opinion than Yorkie Talk would not be very interesting or valuable |

If I'm going to be harassed via PM because of something this thread has NOTHING to do with and because of the way I choose to live my life then I'd like this thread to be closed. I have been on here for a little over a year and have NEVER felt so judged by someone. It's flippin' ridiculous! :thumbdown |
My BIL uses DE regularly....He swears by it....They have Golden Retrievers....He gets it at their local Feed Store.... BTW You have more patience than I would have had...This topic was about DE not exercise I thought... Joyce |

I have heard that Eucalyptus oil is good. I go to a natural pet food store and it was one of the things that they recommended. Put several drops in a spray bottle and dilute with water and spray along your baseboards. You can put a little in the wash as well. Some dog shampoos have eucalyptus in them as well. I think someone else posted on the benefits of Eucalyptus oil as well but I can't find the post. Tammy |
