Moody? Do your Yorkies have "moods?" Eddie has always been a creature of habit. From the moment I get up, he follows me around until I take him on his walk. Today, he wanted nothing to do with me. He sat on the couch and stared out the window. I decided to walk him anyway, and he was just difficult. No matter what direction I wanted to go, he wanted to go the opposite. I tried working on his obedience skills, and he did everything, but without really having fun like he usually does. Of course, when I decided to go pick up his girlfriend, a chi named Sophia, he snapped right out of it and has been his old self the rest of the day. |

I have 4 little girls so the mood swings are not rare . They all have strong personalities , so sometimes , it's heavy metal time in the house . |

Magic is the moodiest person/animal I know...you know how she going to react each day...she might be lovable, cuddly and sweet or hard headed, stubborn, and crabby....that is life with her and I wouldn't trade it for anything!! I feel sorry for my dad, he is the only male left in the house now....he is surrounded by four females with mood swings!! |

Simon and Hallie are both very moody! When Simon isn't in the mood to be bothered by me he will bark at me in a really low voice and ignore me. Hallie gives dirty looks (I swear)! Moody little creatures ;) |

haha - this is so funny ! Neither of my girls have mood swings but they're DAD is a different story - when HE is in a mood - it changes their moods....course he's pretty ill and I think they know it... or if I'm in a mood - it changes them ......then I feel bad and play with them -but other than that - they're happy all the time - I WISH I had their energy and joy 24/7 - life would be so great |

So funny to read this thread because I often call Mitsou " Miss Moody " . |
|
When Olivia has a long day, she gets really grumpy late at night. My bf and I laugh because she could defnitely get this from me! |

These comments are great. In the Iditarod, mushers always say that they have to keep their spirits up or the dogs will pick up on it. Must be true in a way for all dogs. |

Coco is always in a cheery mood, never in a bad mood per se, but she has her rebellious moods. Where she's still sweet, but will poop two inches away from her poop, sit and wait for me to reach for her before she darts away laughing all the way home. |

Thats so cute! Missy is the same way, she normally follows me around everywhere but latley she has been a bit fussy and will not come when I call her, but if I call MAX or show him a little attention she comes right over ;)Crazy yorkies.:D |

Oh yeah, particularly if my grandkids have taken my attention away from them. My husband's ill as well and it does make a difference in our house because I'm different, they sense it. |

Maybe he isn't feeling well. I don't want to be bothered with if I dont feel to good. Hopefully he'll be himself in no time! |

hhmm, I've not heard of males being moody but I guess it's possible. wonder what he was thinking about? |

That was my first thought, but his nose was wet and cold. Then he snapped right out of it when his girlfriend came to visit. Maybe that's all it was. He was missing her. She usually spends a night or two over a week. Many other Yorkies in Hayward area? I grew up in San Lorenzo and usually visit once a year. |

Yorkies in my area?? I dont know. I know chihuahuas are pretty popular, everyone has one of those, but I've never seen any one with a Yorkie but me. I think they are a little toooo pricey for people, I got Bia for a $1000 and most people wouldn't pay that much for a dog and that was low, unless you ship them. There are some local breeders I can say and thru them they can go for as much as $2500-3000 easily, so I think thats why they aren't that popular over here. I'm kind of glad though, I like that she is a rare right now, she gets many praises when she goes out in public, everyone says shes adorable and ask what kind of dog she is. Since they haven't been movie famous recently, I always say toto from the wizard of Oz and then people know what I'm talking about. |
