Where does your Yorkie sleep? Does your Yorkie sleep with you, a member of your family, on the floor of a bedroom or in a crate alone in another room? Do you think that if he/she sleeps with you they tend to become "dominant" dogs? |
Layla sleeps in her crate next to me bed so she can see me. I personally believe if a dog sleeps in your bed they at elast think they are your equal- if not dominant. but that's just my opinion. |
Well I for one, sleep in Bella and Diggys King size bed Its in their Master suite that they so KINDLY let me put my tv and dresser in. :) |
My Yorkie sleeps with his Chinese Crested brother in a create in a different room. |
Deegan sleeps on our bed with us. I'm a side sleeper and Deegan loves to snuggle up real close next to me around my belly (under the blankets) where it's nice and warm. But when he gets to hot, he sleeps at the foot of the bed. I don't think it makes them more dominant... Being firm, but fair lets them know their position as a pet. |
My Yorkie and Morkie sleep in our king size bed, and I love it. Our Schnauzer used to, but has decided to move to the floor since the girls move around too much for him. We have always enjoyed having small, clean, indoor dogs sleep in our bed, and haven't had any dominance issues.:dogzzz::dogzzz::dogzzz: |
he sleeps in a crate next to my bed. I dont feel that he is safe sleeping in bed with us. |
Ziggy Ziggy sleeps with me. Usually on his back. He yawns and says good night, sleeps soundly all night and then when he wakes up snuggles like crazy. I love it. |
Scooter never bonded with a crate so he sleepsm in bed with me. He likes to cuddle and is always laying against me somehow. I am so used to it now that it is hard for me to sleep without him there. |
Ollie sleeps in a crate next to my bed. I would be afraid he would smother or get crushed in the bed (I'm a rough sleeper) and besides that, the cat has already claimed one side of it. I can't sleep with the cat and the dog. I don't really like animals on the bed, but the cat is old and it's an ingrained habit. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have the cat on the bed either... But no, I don't think it makes them dominant unless they already have dominance issues. And then I think it might make them worse. My pup is super submissive, so he wouldn't "take airs" from being allowed to sleep on the bed. |
Ben sleeps in his own little bed which is right next to my bed. Sometimes in the middle of the night when he wakes up, I will put him in bed next to me and he falls right to sleep with him momma :p |
Remy and Roscoe sleep at the foot of our bed;) Remy is one year old and has slept with me since the moment I brought him home and Roscoe (who we adopted a month ago, was already 1.5 yr old and 90% potty-trained has been in bed with us ever since we brought him hometoo! spoiled? oh yes! dominance issues? no problems so far. I am super stressed b/c we are leaving town for 3 days for the holiday and we cant take them:thumbdown and i\'m wondering how in the world I am going to sleep without them! haha |
Trixie sleeps on the bed. Chipsie sleeps on the floor on the pillows from the bed. Lexi sleeps on the bed most of the time. Sometimes I wake up to find that she\'s snuck off to sleep in my daughter\'s bed with her. Flash sleeps either in the back room or sometimes outside if she whines enough to go back out. |
When Callie wasent potty trained and stuff she stayed in a crate in my room but now that she is potty trained and stuff she has a big comfy pillow where her crate used to be and I let her sleep with me but most of the time she prefers her own bed and I cover her up with a blankie I also have her a little soft dog house in my room incase she gets really cold due to my fan even tho I have her pillow under my desk. |
Aiden and Harley sleep with my husband and I. Aiden can climb down the stairs whenever he wants to,Harley \'s too small. They both cuddle up together at the foot of our bed or between us...just like my skin kids used to. |
