Yorkie/Yorkie Interaction How does your Yorkie interact with other Yorkies?? Biggie recently had his 1st experience meeting another Yorkie. My boyfriend was coming over and he saw one of my neighbors walking a Yorkie puppy. So, he struck up a conversation and told my neighbor that I had a Yorkie as well. He called me out and told me to bring Biggie. The Yorkie pup's name was Daisy and she was about 2-3 lbs [Biggie is about 4-5]... they smelled each other like I'm sure all dogs do. Then they started running around my garage and Daisy was chasing Biggie and he seemed scared he ran into the house with Daisy running right behind him! :p I'm unsure of what this reaction means? Just curious... is it because Biggie doesn't get much interaction with other dogs? He's never ran away from another dog before if we're on a walk he seems normal and friendly. |
Hi. Well better Biggie "interact" with another Yorkie than a great dane huh? I think it's great for our dogs to get "used" to other dogs too, but with all precautions taken just incase another dog or even your own decides to "buck-up"... Schatzie has not really been around too many other dogs just our own. She feels to be the alpha dog with our Schnauzer and very very submissive to Daisy our Great Paranese. I think dogs can "sense" what attitude they need to take when they meet other doggies, they are very smart indeed... |
