Hey, Kim! I wanna do shopping and lunch, hehe!! That sounds like great fun! And you're right, they do get chilled after a bath. And here in Indiana I put a sweater on Bo if it's cold and windy. I think yorkies need a little extra warmth in cold weather. |

Since yorkies have just plain hair, no fur/undercoat they do/can get cold very easy. here is somthing to think about: since their hair is very similar to ours on our heads and your head gets cold, they probably will too since their body is covered in it, make sense. I dress charlie in tshirts ocassionally, Here in minnesota it does get pretty cold, although the winters have been super mild the past couple of years. In the winter charlie wears a sweater to stay warm outside. |
Snow in Texas 1 Attachment(s) You all give Vivette a break, we do have snow in Texas. I have a pic to prove it, look close so you don't miss the snow :p My three don't real like clothes but when we do get cold weather they have fleece jackets and t-shirts. |
Gus has lots of hoodies and sweatshirts. He loves them in the Winter time. It can get really cold here in the San Bernardino Mountains at night. Gus has PJ's too but he HATES them. I don't know how he does it, but by morning time, he has them off and his hair is so knotted it takes me an hour or so to bursh him out. So what I did was,,,,, I got him a doggy heating pad. He loves it. But I won't leave it on at night for fear that it may cause a fire. He has one of those thick soft baby plankets that I put in his crate. He loves it and keeps him very warm at night. I will sometimes see him between the folds sound asleep! It is the cutest thing when the look so comfie. |

As for you Maddie-Rudy-Mom, I don't know about snow in Texas, but that's one cute Yorkie in the picture. I can't imagine how long it takes to brush -- or how it gets in the snow! |
I live in FLorida, but we do get a few cold days in the winter, and I'm planning on getting my two some warm things for when we go for our walks. I'm getting a stroller next month, so we'll be about a lot. Forget it in other months because it's so hot here they would melt. |

Ok NJ can get really cold in the winter so yes they wear something. I must admit having a little girl sometimes she get dresses for the cuteness factor. Mac always wears his hoodies or a sweater in the fall and winter. Mellie gets the cute little coats and it seems she doesn't mind wearing the little hats. In fact the little doggie boutique I go to will be getting there new fall / winter line next week can't wait. They also have a web site if anyone is interested. Just4pooches.com |
