company not helping All I want... ..is a day of just us here! I swear, it seems like ever since we got Trixie and we've been trying to train her, someone is here or something is going on where it doesnt give us the chance to put 100% into training her! This is part of the problem as to why I think we are having such a hard time with it! This is Sunday-the weekend, the only other day Dh has off, and the day we should be abl to stay here, no company and have time to ourselves to train Trixie and be able to watch her ALL day... And what happens? His *friend* is here. Trixie is still skiddish of strangers, not to mention terrified of men, so of course she's not even socializing with me or goign potty cause she just shakes in scaredness. :( She hasn't even did the morning pee pee for me that she normally always does after holding it all night.... :thumbdown I swear.. all I want is some TIME to myself or just me and Dh here to devote to this dog to get her trained! |
i'm sorry. i hope you have a better day tomorrow! |
I know I have had days like your describing too. Just know that we are all here for you and it will get better. Good luck! |
I understand what your saying - the upside is your baby is getting socialization and that's a good thing in the long run - Mine got very used to us...my sons and a few friends and now go NUTS when a stranger comes in the house - I wish I had them around a more variety of people. They're angels when they're out - but not on their turf ! |

Yeah...my house is always crazy ...with so many in our family there is always someone who has a friend or two. It is good, as Villtette said, that she is getting used to other people. At thr obedience classes they always add in distractions when they are teaching a new behavior but it is usually after it is introduced. I understand your frustration. |
