I’ve only been a part of YT for a few days now. I just want to thank all of you for the much needed help.:D I have so many questions so please bare with me. Im sure once I bring her home I’ll realize it’s not quite as hard as im making it out to be. Im a planner and have to make sure everything is perfect when she gets here.

So here’s another question im hoping you can help me with….

Ill be getting Daisy in a few weeks, and my boyfriend doesn’t want her going outside at all.:( (he’s allergic to everything and doesn’t want her bringing anything in the house from outside) I may be new at this whole puppy thing, but is this good for a dog? I mean doesn’t everyone need fresh air and exercise?

I would say that "at all" may be asking a bit much, but plenty of people have yorkies that aren't real outside type dogs. They can be puppy pad trained and as long as they get enough exercise I would think its not so big an issue.

although I would sneak my pup out to play and then bathe him:rolleyes: then again i'm a rule breaker:)

Im sure I'll end up doing just that! Im a bit of a rule breaker myself, and I just cant see leaving my baby locked up in a house all day!!

This sounds like good advice to me! All that being said, Rory is pad trained. She does attend daycare daily (which is both indoors and out), and we do take her for walks for fun, but it is completely possible not to take your yorkie out every single day.

I can't imagine a dog that never goes to stores with you, dog parks, or enjoying the fresh air on walks. Does that mean you don't go outside if he is allergic to everything? I'm sure you do, so it's probably fine for the dog too. I just don't think it is right that a dog would never be able to go outside. I walk the lil guy I might adopt 3 times a day for about a mile each time, one to the park. He is always up for more exercise. Well I guess each dog is different, but you should definitely look into ways of socialization.
