I have brought cutie and max into hotels that do not and do allow. I believe i was in a Westin once and they told us up front that it was pet friendly. And with the other hotels that do not allow, it was easy to bring them in and out. And we always opted for a room that we can watch our truck from the window( we were moving from central florida to ny). Which ment away from the Check in area/front desk. I have never stayed more than just a night so I don't know about that. |
We've done this a couple times, once in NYC, the other time was in Tallahassee, FL. it was not that hard at all. all I did was that I kept her in her puppy purse, and nobody really noticed at all. my girl dolly is two and a half pounds, and I have one of the Juicy doggie bag that does not really look like a dog bag at all when you close all the zippers. plus dolly is very quiet. so, I wasn't even scared at all! |
No, I've never snuck my dogs in to a hotel, and never would. Some hotels allow them, and if I had too, I would stay at one of them. Ask the hotel if they allow dogs, and if not, go to a hotel that does. |
I've stayed in one motel one time with our dogs. It was a really crummy place, but the dogs were soooo happy to be there with us. They immediately jumped on the bed with us. I used to travel for work. I was leaving a hotel one time and watched a lady in her nightgown and robe holding a little dog sneaking out a side door. I asked if they knew she had a dog in her room. She looked sheepish and said no. I smiled and said "I didn't see a thing!!!" |
I've never taken him into a non-pet friendly hotel. I didn't know Westin's were pet friendly! Good to know.. We usually look for a Marriot REsidence Inn or a Hampton Inn... |
My parents have traveled many times to their winter home. Most times they find a pet friendly hotel, sometimes they cannot. They have never had a problem though, they have toy poodles and I feel the hotel staff and visitors as well do not feel intimidated or disturbed by such a small breed. They are quiet babies though and my parents always assure they have done their business prior to checking in. They have actually called me on their way to Florida to have me find and book a room in a particular location that is pet friendly ahead of time, a couple hours prior to their stopping for the night, and this has worked out well. |
