Spaying & Marking I asked this on the health board but never got an answer, I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I think Caylee is starting to mark her territory. We've always planned to have her spayed, but my question is will she stop this once spayed? She's almost 18 weeks old, btw. |
I can't help you yet with "if it will help", but mine started marking places other animals liked to hang out and had their scent. She just wanted them to know that she was in charge (lol, yeah right!) and was marking it for herself, I think. I just got her spayed 2 weeks ago, so I'll have to wait and see if she does it again. (She didn't do it often, just a few times.) She's 7 mo. old today! Obviously, I'm crossing my fingers that she won't do it anymore!!! P. U.!!! |
Ramsey was spayed at 6 months....and she still marks. She doesn't mark inside my house...so I really don't see any problem with it. |
hmmmm.....Let's just say each dog is different  and hopefully she will stop. Here's my story. Roxy was spayed at 7 months. She was always really good about only doing potty on the pee pad....BUT...then something happened, not sure what age she was because it seems like forever (she is 4 y/o) but now she is the mad marker  She 'has' to mark every pee pad, she will mark throw rugs, towels, blankets, basically anything that is on the floor. She has started to mark the couch, so she is off limits with that. ...oh and outside, ALL she is concerned about is marking. She has 4 spots in the backyard and she marks them ALL ~ OVER and OVER and OVER ~ I do not know where she gets all that pee from and I don't have to worry about her bolting or anything like that because she is in non-stop Moonwalk Mode :rofl28ib::rofl28ib::rofl28ib: |
