shampoo? hi whats the best shampoo to used ? i been using baby shampoo and tessa coat is not shiny or silky .all she does is scartch. |
There was a thread posted a while back and it was about different shampoo/conditioner reviews. I added up all the reviews and Buddy Wash shampoo/conditioner seemed to be the best. Other high ranking ones were Cranberry Fields and Minksheen. I have never tried any of these shampoos (I don't have a Yorkie). My post is on pg 7. Ah, here it is: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...-new-post.html |
We love Buddy Wash! Even our groomer uses it. I have it on my site if you need some! |
I would use a tear free shampoo especially for dogs or puppies as their PH is different from a human's. Perhaps the baby shampoo is drying out your babies skin. I also use a doggie conditioner on the body as it helps make their hair shine. |
Don't use people shampoo on your baby. They have a different pH than us. Use a dog shampoo. I also use a rinse and leave on conditioner. :D |
My Abby used to be an itchy baby. We tried oral medications and several shampoos. Finally our vet suggested efa HyLyt shampoo and conditioner. Thats been 2 years ago and no more scratching. I do bathe her every 2 weeks and leave the conditioner on for 2 mins before rinsing thoroughly. You can usually find the shampoo at Petsmart but I have to purchase the conditioner from the vet. Hope it helps.;) |
shampoo and conditioners by cain and able are supposed to be great! They smell amazing too! I also heard that Buddy Wash is a popular one as well. |
