You've gotten some great suggestions! You could go the way of The Honeymooners and name her Alice. lol Could call her Ally/Allie for short. lol My grandmothers name middle name was Lily and I love that name. I said Christy earlier, there's also Chrissie (Like Chrissy Snow on Threes Company). I need to stop watching TV, don't I? lol |
Few more choices....... Olive Esther Mable |

When I got Ella Bean, I went CRAZY with the pink and clothes (you know, I didn't want to emasculate Louis, Ella's brother). She FINALLY has enough hair for a topknot and I went shopping over at Darlin Beauxs....I am so excited to get her bows on! Plus, I love with the little girls how you can kiss their little tummies and there is more....room....I don't know how else to say it!!:shocked7q |

I am really looking forward to being able to kiss that little tummy. Ha ha...their is definitely more room. I am constantly trying to avoid Ralphies :eek::p:p |

Plus, your new lil' girl will look adorable in Ralphie's baby clothes! Like a tomboy!! Don't be surprised if Ralphie is wary at first - he is used to being an only child!! |

"Steer clear" ha ha...that is hilarious!! I have thought about putting her in his old clothes (they are soo tiny). She would look precious. And yes, Ralphie is VERY spoiled and I work from home so he is with me 24/7 with no competition. If I even leave the room and he can't come he starts crying and whining (pathetic I know). I don't mind him being so attached to me though because I am just as much attached to him. He LOVES other dogs and never gets jealous when I hold my Mom's Yorkie but I know it will be different at his own house with his Mommy. The thought of hurting him or making him sad for just one second makes me sick. I was soo excited the night we went to see her and made our decision but when I went to bed snuggled up with Ralphie I kind of had a sicky feeling in the pit of my stomach like it was the end of something. I know it sounds awful and weird but he is my baby and I don't want our closeness to change at all. But I am still excited, I just panic at times about it :p:p |
She's adorable! How about Penny? |
Its a big decision to add a new family member, that's why you panic. All will be well. Louis is my soul pup - we are so bonded and in love with each other. When I got Ella, I was nervous, too. But, the bond gets better and deeper and you will build a special and unique bond with Lilly/Gwyneth/Maybel (LOL) When I first got Ella, I made sure to give Louis tons and tons of treats so he associated Ella's presence with getting rewards and it worked! Now I can't separate the two of them! It will take time for them to like each other and you may not bond as instantly with your new pup, but over time, you will all find your place. Just remember, dogs have feelings, but they also live in the moment. If Ralphie gets sad or jealous, it wont last. |

Thanks!! I am an aspiring writer...YT gives me plenty of chances to practice! You really all will be bonded very quickly, especially since you work from home. When I rescued Ella, I also was working from home (the good ol' days!) and all the time we spent together helped us get cozy really quickly. Since you are in sunny Florida, I suggest you take them for walks together. Walking helps bond you to them and them to each other and burns of excess energy, so there is less energy for fighting/jealousy/aggression. This helped Ella Bean and Louis settle in with one another. They have spats - I would say a few times a week - but I look at it like a brother and sister getting on one another's nerves. Maybe I am anthropomorphizing, but they really appear to be playing, then someone will get too rough and the other will get irritated! Also, bones and chewies can cause some tension - training Ralphie to ignore Lilly (I decided!!) while she has a toy or chewy would be a good thing to do from the start! Also, you are lucky b/c the 2nd one potty trains more quickly b/c they copy the older one! |
