Black muzzle instead of tan My pup was born with black in the spots where the tan usually is. As she's gotten older she has started to look more sooty. Does anyone think that the tan will come through or will she just be dark in those places? See avatar. |
Some of them are more black and I would guess she is |
What a stunning color!! Please post more pictures! I just love how Yorkies can have so many different shades. And that they constantly change when young. It's almost like getting a different dog each month. :) |
How old is she? She's darling!! I actually *love* the darker yorkies -- I know it's not really to standard, but I just love something about the darker ones. :) If she is still young, her color can change a lot. |
I would say she is sooty or smutty in color. She may take years to clear to tan or maybe never, just depends on her genes. She is very cute! |
I would love to post more photos but whenever I try to it says the file is too large for the forum. Any hints on how to get it to work? I'm not the most computer-literate person.:) |

My love Shadow used to have a really dark muzzle when he was a little baby but now it has gotten a lot lighter. More lighter than darker. So your baby will probably go through the same I guess, or she may not..cute either way! |
she is a beauty!! I too like the darker colored yorkies. I like colors that stand out more and that are a little dfferent than the norm. :) |
Thank you all for your kind words! I, too, am partial to the darker yorkies and kinda hope that she doesn't turn lighter. :) |
