? about sound interruption technique I have read about the sound interruption technique where you use a loud noise to distract their bad behavior. Apparently I am not doing it right! Pita has been attacking my sons feet and pants legs lately (mostly when he plays wii). I tried using a loud noise and then rewarding her when she stopped. Which seemed fine but then she went right back and did it again. So I used the noise again and gave her a reward when she stopped. But it seems like now she thinks it is a game and will go back and do it to him and then expect a treat?! What am I doing wrong?? |
Maybe you could try interrupting her and then placing her in her crate or elsewhere. Maybe she thinks she's training you to get a treat? They are so smart. You know, my yorkie knows when I'm gonna give her a bath and goes and hides... tell me aren't smart! |
I started using a kids bike horn to get mine to stop barking. At first it worked pretty good but lately they have just been ignoring it. I think I need to be more consistant with using it. |
I have no advice to give, but can commiserate with you! Oscar "steals" things he knows he's not supposed to have, and the only way to get them back is by bargaining with a treat. Only it seems that all that has taught him to do is to steal even more ... seems he thinks it's a game to get treats! They are smart little stinkers. |
