milu is getting BIGGER so, milu has gotten too big for her XXS dresses!!! it happened overnight. all of a sudden one day (yesterday) all her dresses that used to be too big for her are now too small for her. i don't know what caused the growth spurt, because she didn't grow for the longest time. i need to take her somewhere to get weighed, because i was supposed to throw her a little party when she reached 3 lbs. - i wasn't sure if she was going to. so now that she is too big for her dresses, maybe she had reached or surpassed 3 lbs. (she is 8 month old. most people said that they stop/slow growing at around 6 months old) last time she was weighed was last month(prior to her spay surgery), when she was 7 months old, she was 2.6 lbs at the time. what do you think? ;) did she reach 3 lbs. ? |
Congrats. We waited forever for Hot Rod to gain weight. He was 1.5 lbs when we got him at 15/16 weeks. I kept taking him to the vet to weigh and it took probably 2 mos before he got to 2 lbs! He was just under 3 lbs at 6 1/2 mos when he got neutered. As a matter of fact, I was looking at his the very first piece of clothing (a parka coat) that we bought him and it doesn't even go around my fist. lol. It was slightly big on him. He is was 3.7 lbs yesterday for his annual vet visit. You should be able to drop in at the vet to weigh your baby. My vets all were just as excited as I was to see how big each were getting. |

milu got her spay surgery a day after her friend mimi, and they both gained weight somewhat rapidly after the surgery, so i was wondering if it the weight gain is due to the surgery? i am excited and sad at the same time, i am happy that milu is growing, so now she can maybe be less scared when playing with other dogs, but sad to see my little baby grow up at the same time. but i do think that as she is growing BIGGER, her has more confidence as well. (not sure if it's the fact that she is bigger, or just that she is a little older now) :) |
