Baby Bentley comes home today! 1 Attachment(s) Hi everyone! I have been waiting 3 months for this moment...I pick up my new baby Bentley today! I am driving 2 1/2hrs to pick him up and 2 1/2hrs back and I couldn't be happier. I can't even sleep right now because I'm so ecstatic! I have his play pen all set up with his bed, toys, blanket and water/food bowl. Does anyone have any advice for this first time yorkie/dog owner?? I never even grew up with animals so this will be a challenge. I just want everything to be perfect for him :). Thank you all for your help/advice and I will keep you updated and load lots of pictures :)! |
congrats! You will enjoy him so much! |
COngrats. He's adorable. Not much advice I can give you. I'm new too :) |
Congrats! Very cute! |
No advice to offer - just wanted to say Bentley is ADORABLE! What a beautiful face. Enjoy him. |
What a darling! :animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa I know the whole 'to crate or not to crate' debate and even if you decide not to crate train at least give him a crate to call his den; his home. He will thank you for it when he needs a place to hang out away from everyone and everything. Good luck! I hope Bentley is as good a boy to you as Hiro-san was for me! |
I can only imagine how excited you must be. Lots of fun loving times ahead for you.. Good luck..:) |
Congrats! He is adorable!;) |
Congratulations!!! He is just adorable. Main thing is to try and make his move to his new home as stressless as possible. Le thim get use to where he will be spending time. make sure he is eating and drinking. Watch for signs of low sugar, lethargy, weakness, wobbeliness and have nutrical on hand if he is not eating. And most of all enjoy every minute!!! We are here for you to help with any questions you have. |
He looks almost like chester as a puppy cuttee..... good food, something that smells like you after he settles in like a t shirt or something, puppy proof the house, give him lots of kisses and cuddles, I know you will. Where did you drive to get him I live in washington. Get some nutrical for low blood sugar. |
Where in Oregon did you get your puppy. When I started my breeding business six years ago, I started with four puppies from Madras, Oregon.:animal-pa |
He's adorable! Just think life will never be the same again, you're going to have Bentley to always keep things interesting! :p Enjoy him! :D |
He's home!!! :) 4 Attachment(s) Thank you everyone for your responses! He is so adorable! He pooped on me twice in the car on the way home...I guess he was nervous. He just kept shaking. He is only 1.12 lbs right now...so he is small. He was expected to get to 5 lbs full grown, but now the breeder is not so sure. He wouldn't eat but finally, at home after 3 naps, he ate out of my hand. He is sleeping again right now. I can already tell that potty training will be hard because he has peed twice on the carpet, and not at all on the pee pad :(. Oh well, I love him anyway :)! :D |
Congratulations. Could he be any cuter. May you have many years of happiness with Bentley. |
Oh my goodness, look at that adorable face! I am glad you got him home. Enjoy! |
