Yorkie earrings??? I remember reading on this site earlier this week about a dog with earrings. I just spoke with my mom who said she was watching "The View" (I think) and out come these two Yorkies with earrings. Now these Yorkies' ears weren't pierced, the earrings were magnets !!! I guess they had some serious bling bling in their ears!! But it was totally painless. |
Magnetic earrings? I've never heard of that. |
I have never heard of or seen magnetic earrings either. |
That would be an interesting sight. |
Yeah - I was the one who posted seeing the chi with her poor little ears peirced. Magnets I don't mind - but I wasn't impressed with the peircings. |
years ago i had a magnetic earing for the nose...i wanted to trick my husband at the time. boy he had a fit , he thought is was real... they do look real, but they are hard to stay in |
Same here, I am totally against having your dogs ears pierced, but magnets, that would be ok if they would actually stay in place. I have to call my Mom to see what show she was watching...... |
Just called my mom and it was The View that she was watching on her lunch hour today. |
Magnetic earings aren't so bad but if i did that they would stay on about a half a second before they were puppied off..... :) |
I had some magnetic earrings when i was younger. i played a trick on my mom, wow she didn't like that! They stay in pretty good. The view, they were $26 a pair, they were really cute. They said terri hatcher bought real diamond earrings (i don't know if they were magnetic) for her dog $45,000 for a pair!!! |
What if the dogs swallowed them????? I guess the owners didn't quite think that far. |
I'v seen magnet earings for humans, but not for dogs. They would have to be pretty strong to stay on. |
Yeah, Gracie saw a TV show where a toy dog got a $45,000 pair of diamond earrings. Well, we did not hear the end of it from Gracie. She wanted them too, so we went to Target and got her a strand of fake pearls and gave them to her and told her they were from Tiffany's. She bought it and loves to wear her pearls. When someone remarks on her pearls, we have to cover her ears when we tell them where we bought them. So far, so good. These babies will believe anything... hee hee |

Here they are: http://www.girlmeetsdog.com/lucky.html scroll down you can see the $45,000.00 pair!! and the faux 'superficial' pair. They are a pretty strong in magnetic power. |
I bought my daughter some years ago magnetic earrings from Clairs. They were very strong, I think I might even have a pair. Now I'm going to go look for them, I'll let you know how they work!! |
My daughter (age 5) has magnetic earings that she just loves. We got them because I don't want to pierce her ears until she's old enough to make the decision herself and care for them herself (not that I mind helping, but i had a bad personal experience). They are little cubic zircona hearts and she has a box set of them (6 pairs). The best part is they came from the dollar store, so it was $1 for all 6 pairs. I think I'm going to have to go buy a bunch of them and sell them as "yorkie earings." :D :D I'd make a fortune. LOL. I'll have to try them out on Romeo when my hubby's not home and see if they really work! ;) |
If I tried to put magnetic earrings on Esme, she would probably eat them. |
I know that if I put earrings on Pebbles she will definitely eat them in seconds. |
i used to wear magnetic earings, when i thought my ears closed up, but i've never heard of dogs wearing them! thanks for sharing! |
I've never worn magnetic earrings do they hurt at all? I know a friend of the family used to get them for her daughter and she wore them so much that it would rub her ears raw. Would it hurt the dog's ears, are their ears more sensitive than ours do you think? Reagan doesn't even like you blowing on her ears or messing the the hair on them in the least I can't imagine her liking earring on them. I guess though if they didn't bother your dog then they'd probably be cute. I saw them on the view this morning didn't really get a good look though but from what I remember they were pretty cute. Well if anyone trys it let us know. |
Wow that is crazy. I don't think I would want to try to have my babys try them and then the be playin around and it fall off and someone eat it. |
I was not necessarily "opposed" to earrings on dogs if that is what you are into. I would not do it to mine, but who am I to judge others. If tail docking is not considered cruel then how can ear piercing be? As far as magnetic earrings, I do think it would be hard to keep them on but I also would try to "judge" anyone who chose to put these on their dogs as long it isn't dangerous or hurt them in any way. I think it might be cute....I mean if necklaces are okay, why not earrings too? :p |

Sounds scary. I would think they would fall off and into the dogs ears. |
Couldn't believe that web site! Who in heaven's name would pay that much for stuff for thei dogs? That is just crazy! Now dollar store earrings are about my size! lol Snoodles would immediately rub them on the rug until she got them off! It would be cute for a pic. though! Pat |
i have seen those one of cousins had some when we were younger because her mom would not let her get ear pierced at the very top. |
My Nana has a little girl who wears "earrings". They are just little, flat on one side, rhinestones like you would buy at a hobby store that are attached to her ears with a little Karo syrup. This, oddly enough, is the way that bows were attached to my head when I was little because I had no hair! LOL |
