Help! Really confused about my puppy's potential full grown weight My puppy is 12 weeks old and she weighs one point ten. I think this means 1 pound 10 ounces. Can anyone please tell me how much she will probably weigh when she is full grown? How many ounces is one point ten? Thanks for your help! |
One pound equals 16 ounces. There's a puppy growth chart sticky in this forum (General Discussion). http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...rt-thread.html |

Depending on the type of scale you are using it could be 1 lb 10 oz or 1.1 lb. There is quite a difference between the two. Using a growth chart is very unreliable unless you are the breeder and have plenty of experience with the lines you are using. The puppy could stop growing suddenly and be a three pounder or could grow right through eighteen months and be ten lbs. The genetics behind the puppy will determine the adult weight. There are several ways to arrive at an estimate but it's still just a guess. |
Wrigley was 1.13 at 12 week. At my vet, they said it was 1lb 13oz. She is now 2 1/2 and weighs 5.15! |
1.10 lbs = 1 lb + 1.6 (almost 2) oz. So, almost 1 lb 2 oz. |
