Is my baby FULL Yorkie????? Please tell me what you think? 3 Attachment(s) HI, I got my baby from someone that says she is Yorkie. However her hair and her face to me look different that other yorkies that I have seen. What do you think?? In the last pic...my baby is in pink and on the left. |

I would say no. The face doesnt look right. Is the coat straight or wavy? I think its 1/2 or below yorkie. But deffinatly terrier. You can get a blood test at the vet to determine for sure what it is. But she is cute and if you love her it shouldnt really matter. right? I questioned if mine was a purebred but as she got older it was obvious that she was a yorkie. If you need any help/advice Private Message me=] |

The person you got her from should have first and foremost, been upfront and honest about it...she does look like she's mixed with something...For someone to lie about it though, doesn't sound to me that she's an honest or reputable breeder(if that's what she calls herself)...BUT, she is soooooooo cute! I would fall in love with her in a minute!! :D Did she own other dogs that you know of? Welcome to YT! |

She looks at lot like my sister-in-laws Chihuahua with a yorkie's markings and longer hair. I think it's in the eyes. She is adorable!!! She looks so tiny. What did you name her? I have a Yorkie/Maltese. She mostly looks like a Yorkie but has the ears and nose of a Maltese. |
No, I would say she's definitely a mixed breed - especially with the black muzzle - but she's adorable - and that's really all that counts!! |
Does everyone think all Yorkies look alike? That dog looks 100% Yorkie but she does have a dark face. I have seen many Yorkies with dark hair on their face. |
OMG! She is sooo beautiful!!! I have seen yorkies with dark faces too but its her eyes that look different to me:rolleyes: BUT yorkies can vary sooo much esp. if the person who bred her was not breeding from AKC standard stock. Did you see the parents/siblings? Mika looked alot different from most other pups on here too (more terrierish). Theres so much variation in this breed not just due to irresponsible breeding but to different breeders interpretation of the Standard too. I think your baby is adorable, I love her look and you should be very proud (as I'm sure you already are;)) full yorkie or not she's one of the cutest pups I've seen esp. as she is alittle different from the numerous similar looking pups. She is very unique:D |

I wont say its not full blooded yorkie. I have one and i also have the mom and dad of this yorkie. I watched this puppy be born and i cut the cord so i know for a fact where he came from but if someone else had this yorkie, i would probably say, hes mixed with something. Both the mom and dad has the yorkie colors and this little guy is almost solid black. I thought his colors would change as he got older like his brother did from the first litter but so far hes still almost solid black. He has only a little tan color on his legs. His whole face is solid black....i think there is a picture of him in my album if anybody wants to take a look. Anyway getting back to your puppy, hes sooooo cute and he could very well be full blooded. |

Hey Jen...You need to call that woman and talk to her about your baby...You purchased her with the understanding that she is full yorkie...and she's supposed to be registered as well....call her and tell her your concerns...see what she says.... I agree with everyone else...She is absolutely precious and adorable!!!! I know you just love her to pieces and you don't care if she's mixed...but they shouldnt' be selling mixed yorkies for the same price as full blooded yorkies!!! Let me know what she says! Your going to be here in 3 more days!!!!! Can't wait to see you and my baby Tulip and your precious Lilly Pad!!!! lol |
Hi everyone and thanks for responding... I haven't recieved her papers yet......I was told that she is full yorkie......however like many of you...I am not convinved because she just looks so much different...her hair is straight...and not really growing at all. I love her no matter what.....she is so cute, and sweet, and busy!!! That's why I chose her... just curious what everyone else thought.... Thanks so much! I know 3 more days!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!! See you soon!!!!! |
