3am wake up call ok now im losing it.... i thought 5am was bad... lexi sleeps with me and we both get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom... last night it was 3am and wouldshewould not come back to sleep. she wanted to play. i ignored her and laid back down, now shes barking into the mirror wall to wall closet... i cant stop her. i opend the door to the bedroom and gave her the run of the house, now shes barking at my mirror wall unit... i was freaking out....what do i do now? this is every morning. . do i crate her after our bathroom call at night or what? i know she will just bark and bark in her crate. any suggestions please? i need to rest. im a mess.. |
Magic is the exact same way...she will get up in the middle of night if anyone goes to the bathroom and she thinks it is morning...we just couldn't handle it, so we just ignored her, which was not an easy task the first couple of nights...she would bark and whine and scratch on the doors but eventually she would tire back out and go back to sleep...this lasted about a week (yep a week of hardly any sleep) but she now has learned that we do not wake up until the sun comes up!!! |
I have the same problem with Rams here latley.. He woke up early the night before chewing and smacking on his bone.. I was so mad and tired that I got up and laid on the couch for the rest of the night. |

Last night Maximus woke up every hour to give me kisses and then went back to his bed....maybe because I was sad..but usually he will wake up once in the middle of the night to pee, poop or explore and then will get himself back to bed in 5-10 minutes...but he does wake up at 5:48-6 am every morning!!~ No I don't crate him |
she usually does go back to sleep with me, but last night no ways she said. i hope this is not going to be a habit... hope your ok,,, sorry you were sad... cheer up |
haha - Reminds me of Chanel as a baby - she had a 2am playcall and it lasted quite a few months - she could play with LINT and be happy and is still the toy hog at 3 years old ....no time is a bad time to play for some yorkies ....Good luck - keep trying to ignore and see if that works :) |
I think having 4 human babies in 10 years got me ready for my Yorkie babies and all those early morning wake ups. :) |
Cover your mirror with something hon. Or Try crating her during the day until she gets used to it so that you can crate her at night! Good luck! :) |

We have the same problem with our Jewels. Only she wakes you up with a lick assault. |

When Coco gets in her playful mood in the middle of the night. I cradle her put the blanket on her and sing her favorite song" You are my Sunshine" and she goes right to sleep and if that doesn't work, I just hug her close so she can't wiggle out and she gives up within 3 minutes and sleeps..haha...YES AT 2AM SOMETIMES I SING ALL TIRED AND SLEEPY.. :D |
you are tooooo funny. well lexi will not stay in my arms.. she is very strong and would wiggle away.. you are so lucky....but then again in the daytime she is right up my a--.go figure |
Well know how you feel! We had a bad storm last night and at4am had a yorkie sitting on my face! Had to take a nap! Ha lily |
