Baby Gates I need to purchase a few baby gates. Any suggestions on a website or store that has good prices? I would like one that has the walk thru feature but the ones I'm finding seem like the bars might be to far apart for a small dog. Also does anyone have a particular brand or style they like? |
Do you have a babies r us thats where I got mine. I cant remember the brand |
We made our doggie gates. Because we don't want Mr Piddles (aka Clarence our 12yr old on diuretics) in the bedrooms we took plastic crosshatched panels (get it a Lowes) cut sections smaller that the door & only about 20" tall then we cut the plastic chanel (that they have for finishing it) & gorilla glued the frame to the section. To keep it in the door we cut qtr round & nailed it to the door frame so we can slide it up & down in case we want to take it out. It sounds like a lot of work for little dogs but we don't want them in the bedrooms so it works for us. |
I have normal baby gates for my 9month old daughter and neither of my two or my mum's smaller girl can fit through the bars. We have Lindem ones and they actually make a dog gate too which we had before I had my daughter and the bars are exactly the same width apart but the gate is higher up, I think it's designed to stop big dogs jumping over them. |
I purchased a one from Target. They have them on line too if you want to view it beforehand. The cost is around $60. |
I got mine at Wal-Mart. They were $9.92 each - but I have to have 2 of them because Bella can jump over them. (each gate is 23 inches high) :animal-pa |
Lily jumps over everything too!!lol I never thought of doing 2 of them...do you do one on top of the other?? THANKS |
Sears makes great ones....you can only get them online. They are called Dream Baby gates. I first saw them at a doggy day care a friend owns. |
