So Disappointed!!! 2 Attachment(s) I was stocked with candy and ready to go for Stewie's first Halloween. I had him dressed up (much to his dislike! haha) and only 2 trick or treaters showed up! As one of the neighbor kids who stopped by explained to me "We don't live in a strategic trick or treating neighborhood". They were headed off to a nearby neighborhood where they could get more candy quicker! haha. Oh well, now I know for next year! Candy anyone? :) PS: I was late to the costume game this year so at Target on Wednesday I got him the Santa outfit...I figured I could knock out two birds with one stone...I already told my husband that "Santa's Little Helper" is going to be our X-mas card this year! :D Attachment 250777 Attachment 250778 |
Stewie is a cutie! We didnt have as many trick or treaters as years past either. Ive got 3 or 4 bags of candy bars left |
Just posted on your thread! haha. I just put the candy outside on the front steps to avoid digging in myself and gaining 5 lbs....we'll see if there is any left tomorrow! Some lucky kids might just hit the candy jackpot! :) |
We haven't had any kids stop by either. Last year, we were hit by lots but no one this year! Where are all of the kids?? |
Only one set of kids here tonight so far. (only 6:45) Tonight is about the best Halloween night you could ever ask for in denver. It was 71 degrees out today. Usually it SNOWS on halloween! |
Cute helper...maybe at Christmas he'll have better luck. The "R's" hate halloween. It's the doorbell..let's bark our heads off, it's kids...let's bark at them....people in the street...well gee...let's.....BARK. I had my light off for awhile....then I felt like the Grinch of halloween....so I listened to barking for two hours. |
Thats funny! For the two kids that DID show up...I knew they were coming about 30 seconds in advance because Stewie was barking at the door. He is 5 months on Monday and so far he only barks at people coming to the door! Here's to hoping it stays that way :) |

After a week of rain and cold (and Phillies game delays lol) we had some half decent weather as well....(not a balmy 72 however :) lucky!) Seriously as a kid I remember being forced to wear tutle necks and long johns under my costumes...this should be a DREAM for kids this evening! I am sure they are having a great time...just not in our neighborhoods! haha |

wow we are all done and we had over 150 kids come. I want to give them something special but that its lot of kids. |
Awwww...we have had many gangs of Halloween Kids...I guess we have a Strategic Halloween Neightborhood. I spent $60 on candy at Sam's....one bag left....YAY! Baxter and Cooper hate it, Daddy just sprung them from their Kennels..... Darcy stayed out and answered the door with Daddy, and personally walked out and collected ooohhs ahhhhs and lovings from all the trick or treaters and parents. The look on her face is so happy, she is having the time of her life! |
Well...Stewie looks fabu. Do not feel bad..we had ONE trick or treater...could it be that children are so over-indulged that they think TorTing is beneth them? |
We've had a couple kids stop by now, but still nowhere near how many we had last year.:( It's such nice weather too. |
Now that we don't have kids at home I am not enjoying Halloween as much as I did in the past. (I was once a Halloween nut) We don't know anyone with kids nearby, and we only have two boys in our neighborhood. Sooo, we put Sophie's pumpkin costume on and went to visit my in-laws in the assisted living home in the small town 11 miles away. They loved seeing her, and the residents were lined up in chairs in the lobby of the place giving out candy from orange buckets to little kids who came in from the community. It was fun. My mother in-law had to take Sophie around to show her off.;) |
I would have loved to give out candy this year, but this area doesn't have many kids. My area is not horrible, it use to be bad, now its being improved and alot of work being done. There are still alot of boarded up houses, houses with no kids, or frats near me. I am on the main road so its getting alot of attention but the side roads are not the roads that I would let a kid go down, if I had any. My mom had aurora for a week while I was in mexico and mom bought a halloween dress for her yorkie at walmart. Aurora was trying to steal it even though she is much bigger than my mom's, so mom ended up buying her one too. So she is all dressed up in her halloween dress. |

I tried to give out candy when I was 13 or 14 and we bought like 3 or 4 HUGE bags of mixed candy. I think we had maybe 5 groups of kids. By the end of the night we were putting large handfuls in their bags and we still ended up with TONS of candy that took us about a year to eat. |

Yeah, I really regret not dressing her up. I hope she is still here next year (health), if she is I DEFINITELY will. She is curled up next to Dad now, and he has been telling her what a good girl she is, and nothing like the babies Momma raised :p:p:p:p |
My son who has a form of autism , and who is 15 yrs old, had to go trick or treating, so he got to be Texas Chainsaw Masacre, and little Suzi , our 8 month old yorkie was a Native American Indian .She hated the hat with pony tails, but, she still looked adorable ! I took them both to a couple homes that we know in the car, and poor little baby got car sick  But, my son had an awesome time :D I live upstairs in an apartment complex so there is not much passing out candy ..... However, it is always so cute to see the little children having so much fun :D |

My baby has thrown up on me a few times now in the car. We live in Atlantic City and I work in Philly. I brought him to a pet friendly bridal shower in Philly and two miles away from home on the way back he unloaded on my lap. par for the course.... |
I took my two out in their costumes while walking my "skin kids" around. We didn't see a soul walking. Was kind of sad that no one saw them in their cute costumes. Coco was a devil and pebbles was supposed to be an angel but she wouldn't walk in the costume so we switched and she wore coco's costume from last year a skeleton (looked like pj's) she was much more comfortable. I don't know how those dog walkers walk 4-5 dogs. These two just kept tying me up and inter-twining each other I was exhausted. They're crazy. They are good and tired now between the long walk and the barking because of trick or treaters, sleeping like babies!! :aimeeyork COCO:dogzzz: :aimeeyork PEBBLES:dogzzz: |
I got 1 kid. A power ranger. That was it! BOO! Who is going to eat all this left over candy? |
