WOW!!! You are an amazing group of people!! :yorkietal |
Koda is home in Michigan with his new forever family :) My dad asked me to post this from him and Mary: "Tell them that Mary and I were very happy to have been a part of this rescue. The people we met were great, Koda was great and the weather and drive was great. Being a part of this adventure was totally our pleasure. Thanks and keep up the good work!" |
That is wonderful news! Welcome Home Koda! I can't wait to see some pictures of you in your forever home. You had quite the journey little guy....surrounded by angels the entire way! I had nothing to do with this rescue, other than following the story, but I wanted to say thank you to all involved. I think there's nothing better in life than random acts of kindness and selflessness....this surely qualifies as such. |
Great news that Koda is safely home with his new family!! To all involved.....you are very special people to give your time/efforts for Koda! (and other rescues) |
Great job everyone!! Can't wait to see pics of Koda with his new family!! :) |

He is getting along with his new sister Ada very well and slept in bed with her and his mommy all night without a peep! He isnt 100% settled but WAY ahead of where i thought he would be. When i called my sister this morning i could hear Ada carrying on screaming and i said whats that she said Koda has her pinned on the floor and she is yelling at him!!! She loves to scream and act like she is REALLY a tough fighting girl. Poo took most the pics ao she said she will post today but I wanted everyone to know how much we appreciate ALLLLL the prayers well wishes and help getting Koda home. Im not taking Bella and Digs over today Im giving Ada and Koda some bonding time, but I am going over in a lil bit Ill take camera and poost pics for you all. First of all, I want to thank all of you involved with Koda's train yesterday & all of the well wishes!! I was really worried about it but once I met Kim's dad & Mary I was comforted. They are very sweet! All of the pics from the train are great even though I still can't look at them without tearing up. I think it's "happy tears". I do miss him but know is at his perfect forever home. Thank you aunt Paula & mommy Terri for giving Koda his new forever home. |
Okay! I was the 2nd to last leg. Made great time to Casey! It was a beautiful drive, lots of tree's still in color. It's pretty rural from my house to Casey! We made the handoff, he was such a good boy. He was very mellow and laid down in my lap for the drive home. When we got to my house, I sat him down to meet my boys. His tail immediately started wagging! I think he was happy to be out of the car and be around other dogs again! Paula and Terri arrived a little later, after the infamous traffic violation! Koda is such a well adjusted dog. He never got nervous or anxious, just rolled with the flow the whole time. He was chillin on the couch on the blankies and then running through my house with the boys shortly after we arrived. I've never seen a dog with such an easy temperment. He laid down beside me on the couch and I thought to myself...He is an example of why people love Yorkies sooo much! He's an angel. I was honored to be involved in getting him to his wonderful new forever home. Terri was talking softly to him on the couch and he was looking at her and turning his head like he knew she was going to love and care for him for the rest of his life. AND... I got to meet my sister/bestie Paula/Diggy for the first time after knowing her over 2 years online. They weren't here very long because they had such a long drive back, but it was awesome to get to meet Paula, Terri, Avery and Kayla. It was hard to let Koda go, he's so precious. But he is going to have a great life with his new mommy Terri! I'll post pics in just a few! Thanks for the good thoughts everyone! This was a success and I was glad to be a part of it! |
