Very, Very Excited! I never thought my parents would even consider letting me get a dog, but I have written essays, poems, and explained to them why I deserve a dog. They know I have the responsibility but are worried about when I leave for college. I am fully prepared to do whatever it takes to be able to keep my baby when I go to college. Now, nothing is for sure, and they definitely have let me know they are not completely agreeing with letting me get a dog, but I get to go see a Yorkie this weekend! I am SO excited. This is the closest they've ever been to allowing me a dog. I hope everything works out. The dogs name is Panne, and he is a 1 year old Yorkie. The person loves him so much but doesn't have the time for him anymore (they used to have a house and now are in an apartment with three kids). He sounds so perfect. They said he isn't like a normal Yorkie and is completely potty trained, hardly barks, and is friendly with everyone. He loves other dogs and only barks when the doorbell rings. This is like a miracle as I know a perfect Yorkie is hard to come by. I am SO EXCITED!! I have researched Yorkies for a long time and I can't wait to meet him! Vanessa  |

Good Luck sweetie. I hope it works out for you. |
I think they would consider me crazy if I took pictures of their dog, lol! I'll let you know how it goes, though. I'm going Saturday at 1 so I should be back around 2-2:30. Wow. I have already gone through everything on the Petsmart website for what I'm going to buy. There I go again, getting my hopes up.. |
aww congrats! you are finally getting your baby....can't wait to see pictures! |
Awwwww, I hope it works out for you! If I can offer you a tiny bit of advice, be sure to sit back and truly evaluate the little guy. Many people are willing to take advantage of others and will often try to "dump" a dog with suspected health problems before they become obvious to most people. Make sure they release the vet records to you BEFORE you make a decision so you can talk to the vet and make sure there isn't anything wrong. It's also easy to be soooo excited everything looks rose-colored. Try to be as impartial as you can- I know it's SOOOO hard! But remember, your parents saying yes is a HUGE step!!! These guys can have pretty serious health problems and when you get one you don't know the background on you can be stuck with tons of vet bills. Check his teeth to make sure they are in decent shape, watch him run and play and get those vet records! |
Awww Congrats.... you will have to take pics and share!!!! Good Luck! Keeping :xfingers: |

I sent you a PM... |
aww I remember reading your poem too!!! This sounds very exciting!!! Hope it works out!! But please write down the things you want to ask...or check and make sure you do that....in the moment you are likely to forget EVERYTHING.....and be ready to take doggy home.... So it's really important that you try not to get so overwhelmed with his cuteness that you forget to check him out physically, emotionally, and his health. Remember you will have atleast 10-15 years of your life invested in this little guy....just make sure he's right for you!! GOOD LUCK SWEETIE!!!! |
Yay!! :aimeeyork I am so happy for you!! Hope it all works out. :aimeeyork |
Well I'm so excited that it seems to be working out for you. Sounds like you have done your research and you are very excited and sounds like you have thought this all out. But you are going to be so excited when you see this little guy. He might be scared of you at first but he will warm up to you. Just make sure he is the right one for you. People tell you alot of stories you just have to be the one that decides what they tell you is true or not. Good luck. |
How exciting! I hope it all works out for u hun:) xxx |
