It's going to be a long day. I work overnights and today is Pasquale's first grooming ever. I'm soo nervous. I just dropped him off and now i know what mothers go thru when their first child goes off to kindergarten. I'm lost without him. I should be sleeping right now...but i cant. He usually sleeps with me and sometimes on top of my head. I love my groomer...i've used her for years with my other dogs....but as a furbaby mom i'm worried...yanno? I dont know...am i crazy? |
Not crazy at all. When Gus needs grooming, I plan to be with him or not get it done, or do it myself. |
No you're not crazy, well if you are, so am I :D One thing I really like about the groomer we use is that she can do Abby or Daisy in an hour! I like not having to leave them any longer than that. I'm sure your baby will be fine and be pretty as a picture when done! |
I know how you feel. I took Roxie yesterday for her first professional grooming and sheis 13 months old, I have never taken Pixie who is going to be 3 because she is so easy to do myself. I stayed with Roxie for the first 15 minutes while she got the mats out and then left, she was done less than 40 minutes later. She looked great. Can't wait to see pics of him when he is done. |
Of course you're crazy! That's what having a Yorkie in the family is all about. Most of us that have Yorkies wind up making them pretty much the center of our lives. Anyone without Yorkies will say that's crazy - and maybe they're right. I just embrace the craziness, not run from it or deny it. Adore and spoil your Yorkies when they're with you. Worry about them and fret about the (big) empty spot in your life when they're not with you. In general, just be crazy about them and love being crazy! |
