I've never seen the Pamela in person, but I personally own the Alex and its AWESOME!! I take Mia everywhere.. as a matter of fact, she went to Target and Ross with me on Saturday. She took a snooze in her bag and never made a peep!

I like the one with the shoulder strap....makes carrying them alot easier~~.. I take my baby in alot of stores...only got busted once.

Has anyone ever used "Vera Bradley Carrier"?? They look like they might be nice??

i think im gonna get the Pamlea one i like the look better and people said its really nice to sneak them into stores with it!

Tinkerbell's Closet carries both bags, and her prices are a little better. I have the Alex carrier and it's great! Nobody ever knows that there's a dog in there. It's very light-weight and comfortable, too. I have a little obsession with dog carriers lol, but I've found that I use the Alex most of the time.

I LOVE my Charlie bag! I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The Charlie is real leather that's why I purchased it but I love them all!

I have a Vera Bradley carrier and it is just so roomy and comfy. My dogs love it the best of all my carriers. It also has a lot of room in the front for additional "stuff". However, it is probably the most "dog carrier" looking of all carriers and it's rather large.

I have the Alex and the Vera Bradley carrier.

Although I love the Vera Bradley carrier, I rarely use it anymore since buying the Alex bag. If you're looking for a bag that will NOT scream "THERE IS A DOG IN THIS BAG"... the VB isnt it. The VB bag is super cute, but pretty darn big, and the sides are mesh which gives away the fact that there is a dog inside. Alex or Pamela is the way to go. Mia pretty much goes everwhere.. and no one has a clue she's in my Alex bag.

I am totally intrigued with the thought of being able to take Olivia into stores with me! LOL I just have never thought of it, other than pet stores of course. She is a very good girl and doesn't bark at all...so maybe I would get by with it?? :wink: I guess the worst that could happen is that I would be asked to leave??

i live in the city so i'm able to take my ted pretty much everywhere i go, including restaurants also! they have doggie menus.

yes, the worst that can happen is them asking you to leave. it only happened to me once, at a sushi restaurant. technically restaurants owners can get charged a fine b/c of it being a sanitary issue.

i find i get BETTER service when i bring my dog with me shopping b/c the sales people ask to pet my dog! LOL

What restaurants do you go to in Philadelphia that let your dog in and have doggie menus? :) I'm curious, because I live near Philly and don't know of any that let me IN with my dog! I usually sit outside with them in the nice weather and I have found that they are welcome in most shops.

Can you carry the Alex bag on your shoulder too?? I just ordered a VB bag on ebay and it hasn't come yet...now I wish I would have waited maybe and just got the Alex or Pamela instead!! I am also looking for something that doesn't look like I am carrying a DOG!!lol She is only 3 pounds and 7 months old so I guess I would get the smallest one?? THANKS to all of you!!!

Yes, the Alex carrier fits comfortably over your shoulder :thumbup: My Mocha is 3lbs full grown and we have the smallest one.

i live in old city and most of the bars there let him in. I think its called tavern 17 that has a dog menu.

over the summer, all of the restaurants let me take him with when i sat outside. i'm so sad summer is over!

Oooh! Those bags are nice! I flew with Pokey last month and I tell ya, I would have DIED without the shoulder strap! If you plan to use that bag to fly I would just suggest to check the measurements to make sure the bag wouldnt be too tall to store under the seat....but as far far as looks....luv em' both!! :thumbup:
