How big do these guys grow? 2 Attachment(s) My Max is about 8 months now.. I think he is about 4lbs.. I another pup yesterday.. He was about 20 month older than Max but alot smaller... And I actually thought Max was small for his age... Enclosed is a couple of pix of Max.. Hope to hear ur comments about my big boy!! |
He is small and a cutie! They are a variety of sizes |
At 8 months, he's probably almost to his adult size. How big are his mommy and daddy? Or even grandparents? That would be one way to get an idea of whether he will get bigger. I'll bet he'll stay under 5 lbs., which is a small yorkie. Your other one must have been tiny. btw, he is adorable beyond words!!! |
He should stop getting taller and longer about 8 months and now start filling out..He is fine and precious... |
it varies .. There is a female yorkie that has to be at least 10llbs she is beautiful but towers over my lil 4lb lexi .. BTW Your lil boy is just adorable !!:p |
I just to say i think he is very handsome and looks so happy, i love the first pic! |
Mocha is almost 8 months, and she's about 4.5lbs. I really wouldn't mind if she grows bigger, but I don't think she's gonna grow much more. There's a variety of sizes. I know there are much tinier ones. Max is very good looking :D |
Haha... if you little guy is big than Wrigley must be a beast :) I just weighed him this morning at 6.2lbs at just over 5 months old :) I love him though because he is sturdy and I don't have to freak out anymore if he decides to bolt and jump off of the couch. I certainly don't think 4lbs is big by any means, I wouldn't be worried, he is soooo adorable! |
Your baby is a cutie. (both of them) lol. Hot Rod was 3.8 lbs a couple of weeks ago at the vets. He is 14 mos today. |
Aww...what cuties! I don't think there is a limit on size :) |
Samson will be 8 months tomorrow and weights just a smidge over 6lbs. I'm sure Max will fill out a bit more as he gets older. He seems so cute and totally fine. |
OH GOOD GRIEEF IS HE EVER ADORABLE!!!!! His size is just fine,,In my opinion I think he will be within breed standard when full grown, I think He should be about there now, Riley seemed to stop growing and he is 6 months old now, he weighs 5.5lb, Breed standard says they should be no more than 7lb,. again just my opinion but I think that the normal size yorkies are starting to seem bigger, because so many out there are purposly breeding runts to creat the so called "teacup yorkies" and I think the normal and "teapot" yorkies are sturdyer and healther anyway...also with that face!!!I wouldnt care if he weighed 30 lb..lol |
What a cutie!! I know of yorkies from really small sizes up to 20 lb yorkies... :) |
awwwwwwww Max is a dollbaby!!!!! My Daizy is 5.6 lbs!!! She pretty much stopped growing around 6 months...but I've heard they can continue to grow a little beyond that! Nothing wrong with having a 4 lber!! I'm hoping my new baby Tulip will be around 3 to 4 lbs full grown...I'll guess we'll see!!! Welcome to YT!!!!! Thanks for sharing pictures of your furbaby!!!! |
Hey all Thanks for all your replies!! Ya, Max is a REAL cutie pie and he knows it.. We all love him to death!! he is my first Yorkie but not my last thats for sure.. Now we are thinking about getting him a playmate!! |
Your baby is a cutie! |
Yea. My dog is going to be a beast by Yorkie standards. haha:rolleyes: he's 3 months old and weighs 4.8 pounds. He's gonna be a big boy but i love him dearly. |
What a handsome little guy!! My little girl is 6 months and weighs less than 2 pounds. So, I have seen them in all sizes. |
