Decent buy at Target today!! My husband and I went to Target tonight, he wanted a new PS game:rolleyes: so I was just looking around and wandered into the dog isle. I came across a mini conair pet trimmer for $15!! They also had the bigger clippers for $25 but I'm holding out to get the ones I really want. But, when we moved out of our place to go to Texas I wasn't thinking and packed away the face trimmer I use on Duke, it's stuffed away in storage somewhere and I have been dying without them. So I bought the one I saw at Target, it uses one AA battery and comes with two blade guards, I trimmed Dukes paws and face and it worked great! So if any of you are needing a small trimmer at low cost check out your Target store for one. The one I got didn't have a sale tag on it so I am guessing that it's the normal price for it. |
WOW, thats a good deal. mine wont let me near their faces with a trimmer.. |
I would love to be able to do Lily's face and feet with a trimmer too!! She is HORRIBLE!! I have to clip real fast little bit at a time when I get a chance with her. She just HATES to be brushed or combed or ANYTHING!! I am getting worried cause she is 7 months old now and not getting any better with it?? She bites me when I bath her now too and she wasn't like that before her trip to "Petco" when they told me "not to bring her back"!!lol She is 3 pounds of "terror"!! I wish I could find some kind of brush or comb that she would like and I could work with her. It isn't that I don't try and give treats and everything I can possibly do as far as I know???? |
thank you for sharing with everyone :D i am glad that your baby lets you groom him, my baby will not allow me to groom her so i have to take her to the groomers even though it scares her to death :( |
I got kind of lucky with Duke, he loved being brushed from day 1, he's so laid back, the only thing he doesn't like is having his nails cut. Lucie is the spunky trouble maker for me, she's just barely 6 months now and still so tiny 2.15 lbs, so I don't cut her hair yet. But she doesn't like anything that interrupts her playing  To brush her, I use a slicker brush (she hates it but after trying some others I realized that it works best for the knots and gets the job done the fastest) I posted in another thread about tangles, I found a detangler from John Paul "pets" that works really well so it cuts back on the time it takes to brush her out, and I take the hair away from her body to brush it, so the pins on the brush don't scratch her skin. And I usually try to wait until she's ready for a nap to brush her and I keep a treat with me that I give to her in pieces while I brush her. |
wow thanks for the info!!!! Have to check out Target!! |
