How long do your Yorkies live? We bought our baby from a great breeder here in the UK. She always keeps a female from each litter, and said that all of her Yorkies have lived to be close to 16 years old so far. I really hope Roxy lives to a long healthy age like that. I've heard so many stories of Yorkies that have had health problems and have their lives cut short. |

from what i've heard the average life span is 15 years. but i think they can live longer if they don't have serious health issues when they are older. i have a quick question about smaller yorkie life span. if both parents were healthy size. (mom and dad were 5lbs. and 6lbs.-that's ok size right?) but my puppy is only 2.6lbs at 8 months. does that still mean she will be prone to health problems? |

I've heard 18 is pretty common. |
I heard that association with bunnies (rabbits) increases longevity :), so Milu should do just fine. Saw the cute photos, so I couldn't resist. At first I wasn't sure if the bunnies were real or not. Plus, if she hasn't had any health issues to date, her parents were healthy, it's another positive indicator. She may break the 3 lb mark by 12 months. Let us know. |

well, milu is on quality food and i just want her to be healthy! i love all yorkies, all different sizes are adorable to me! larger yorkies = more cuteness to love! small yorkies = condensed super cuteness! |

i actually adopted another bunny from the rescue because milu loves bunnies so much. and since the two bunnies i have are bonded to each other, i wanted milu to have a bunny that she can bond to.:D:D:D |

Yes, they can put on weight past 6 mos. but, mine all were done growing by 6-7 mos. Your baby is adorable...makes me want another baby..I'm working on the hubby..;) |

Daizy stopped putting on weight when she reached 6 months too... She's 10 months now......My sisters stopped growing at 6-7 months as well...so your yorkie could very well be done growing.....if she puts on much more weight...it won't be ALOT! maybe some ounces. |

i mean, people usually laugh at me when i say milu is 2.6 lbs. because they think it's silly to get into the 'point something lbs.' but when you are under 5 lbs. that "point something lbs." really makes a big difference! :D |
