Question about my puppy? CoCo is 15 weeks old and she tends to make a wierd noise after eating or drinking. It sounds like she is trying to clear her throat or like a human trying to itch their throat. She extends her neck back and forth while she makes the noise? Anyone have any idea what it could be or did your dog do this? I am going to call the vet tomorrow. Also she has been dewormed TONS of times and still periodically has worms should something else be done about this? I used panacure for three days then used it again 3 weeks later for three days which is how it was prescribed. Also she was dewormed by the breeder? Any advice? LAST question Does anyone have experience spaying a tiny puppy? How old was she? How did it go? Any regrets? THANKS! |
Search for reverse sneezing....that may be what you're hearing or she may be eating/drinking too quickly. I'd take her to the vet to be wormed. There are more than one type of worms....I'd want to be certain the medication given is correct for the type of worm. Sometimes they can just give an injection. Due to their size my vet won't spay/neuter yorkies until 6 months of age. |
Thank you for taking the time to reply! I looked up reverse sneezing and found a video on youtube of a maltese doing it and thats exactly what it is. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am changing their food to see if its a allergy. |

My doxie had this same thing. Turns out he was having an allergic reaction. Some doggie allergy meds from the vet cleared it up. I still haven't figured out what he is allergic to as he didn't get it back after the meds. |
