Help Daughter just called from ATL
 
Yesterday Mika has a pusy something coming from her vagina, and now she is bleeding from hre rectum. Daughter is on the way to the vet, does anyone know what is going on???

She's 1 1/2 , and yes, she has been spayed

The pus from her vagina says infection but blood from her rectum? That is odd.:confused: Unless there is more than one thing going on... I hope she's okay.:(

She just called back....they wanted to do an lot of expensive tests, but right now, said it could be anal glands and gave daugther a cream. Said it could be parasites, but she was tested for that two weeks ago and got a clean bill of health.

ALso stated that her back legs have weak ligaments and will pop out of place (pet shop dog purchase).

For right now that is the report from ATL.

If it's a lone male parasite eggs will not show up in the stool.
It happens sometimes where a male will be in the intestines and
cause problems. Just by sniffing out in the grass where other dog's
walk the parasite can go up threw the nose and lodge in the intestines.

This is why we must stop purchasing dogs from pet stores...I hope and pray the pups gets better

She said she told them about that, and they didn't see any today, therefore, did not address that issue.

Conner had bleeding from the rectum and I took him to the emergency vet. He had ruptured an anal sack and had to be on antibiotics for 10 days. They also gave him pain meds for 5 days. He was back to normal after a couple of days. They gave me a funnel for his head so that he would not lick, but I put him in baby onsies instead. Now the vet does his anal glands.

With my daughter doing the translating, it's hard to tell, but she said it was a one time thing and has not occurred again, however, she did mention it to the Dr. while they were there and she examined her and said that was a non issue.

In the meantime, we think we found out the problem. It's gross, but later in the day, Mika passed a FUR BALL. Now who knows where that came from.....but the Dr. seemed to think it was an anal gland thing, so they were aspirated as well.

In the meantime, there has been no more blood, and Mika is acting quite happy and normal.

I want to thank you all for just being there. When the daughter called me at work I had 23 girls a police officer and a teacher in my room and was in the middle of a workshop on domestic abuse.

After I thought all kinds of horrible things had befallen Mika I was so rattled I didn't do a good job of the workshop, but at least I know what love feels like.

I love Mika and Maya....and the skin kid too.
