Licking... So Wrigley attacks us with his licking pretty often, but I've noticed that he licks things other than our faces... I've seen him lick doors, and the side of our coffee table, even our bedsheets! One time I put my shoes on and he had been licking them and they were all wet. Is he lacking something in his diet? (I feed him Wellness) Or does your Yorkie do this too? |

Ash does it but it's usually my clothing or pillow... It's kinda gross how sometimes I'm sleeping and when i turn over, I land my face on a spot of yorkie juice ( I sleep on a matress :D ) |
Oliver will lick the insides of my sandals too! Also the leather couch and my beagles nose, he's a licker for sure!! Brooklyn not as much! Who knows....:D |

I have 4 yorkies, 3 males and 1 female. The female is the only one who does that. Her teeth was bad so i thought it was because of her teeth and the vet said they were probably hurting her and thats why she was licking so much. She mostly licks the covers on the bed etc. I took her and got her teeth cleaned, she had a couple retained baby teeth that the vet pulled, i thought she wouldnt do anymore licking...well i was wrong, shes still doing that, i think its just a habit.:rolleyes: |
I have a female Bichon who licks the couch arm and the arms of her favorite chair. She's a licker and will lick me from toes to eyebrows if she gets the chance. My male Bichon doesn't lick. |

Mine too, she'll just be walking along in the house and lick the floors, non stop and sometimes the inside of our shoes...So i booted my cleaning lady from cleaning our wood floors:D Oh, she's been doing it since she was a pupm she's 14.5 yrs....HA |
OK I thought this thread was going to be about yorkies licking THEMSELVES. Sasha is constantly licking her private area. I always check to see if she is irritated down there but it looks perfectly fine. I guess she's just keeping herself clean like cats? Or self love perhaps? If it's quiet in the room you can hear the wet licking sound she makes and then when she's done she always wants to lick ME!:eek: |

hmmm Wrigley doesn't usually lick himself in that manner actually, which is something I am very thankful for! |
I wanted to ask the same question. Jinx also likes to lick the inside of my shoes, but what worries me, he keeps licking the paving or any cement thing he can get hold of. He even sometimes likes to eat sone ground. I also thought he has a lack in his diet, or has he?:confused: |
