Brad is pretty well grown out now. The last visit to the new groomer went well, but I wouldn't leave his site. She understood what a Yorkie should look like. Unfortunately Petco had no idea, even with a Yorkie Care book in front of her with several photos marked off as a reference. |
Where in Wisconsin are you located and what Petco?? I used to groom for Petco but now I am starting my own Mobile Grooming. I also and currently sueing Petco. |
I Had The Same Nightmare!! I've had the same experience at Petco. I live in Florida. I took Miko the first two times and said I wanted a what they call a puppy cut. They did great. The last time, I said I wanted his face just a little rounder, and his body a little trimmed and they cut so much off!!! I was so upset. The good thing about this story is, that all his matts are gone, and his hair is growing nicely in and really fast. So be patient after a while you just start getting used to it. But I'm like you, I will never take him back there. I'm going to try a groomer that my cousin takes her little one too. They do not chop hair off!! |
Ooooh! I would have been mad too! To give them the beenfit of the doubt, and try again... and again they mess up! I would complain to the manager. And never go back again! Find a groomer who can take simple instructions. |
Thanks everyone! I guess I'm not alone. The supplements are definitely worth a try. Lucky is tall yorkie so it takes a while for her hair to actually look long, but maybe the supplements will help it grow faster so she doesn't have to freeze this winter. In the meantime, we'll be searching for a more reputable groomer. We live in Waukesha, Wisconsin, so if anyone knows any nearby, please let me know. |
