Map the route point to point on Google Maps and see what route is suggested and maybe post the route. That way we will be able to see where we might be of some help. |
I think this is the basic route (based on both parties listed zip codes). So Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana... 1: NORTH on US-45 N. 2: Merge onto US-45 N toward TUPELO (Crossing into TENNESSEE). 3: Turn LEFT onto US-45 N/ US-64 W/ TN-5 N. Continue to follow US-45 N/ TN-5 N. 4: Turn RIGHT onto S CHURCH ST. 5: US-70 E/ TN-1 E/ SYCAMORE ST. Continue to follow US-70 E/ TN-1 E 6: Merge onto I-40 E toward NASHVILLE. 7: Merge onto I-65 N via EXIT 208B on the LEFT toward LOUISVILLE. 8: Merge onto I-24 W/ I-65 N via EXIT 86A on the LEFT toward CLARKSVILLE/ LOUISVILLE. 9: Keep RIGHT to take I-65 N via EXIT 88A toward LOUISVILLE (Passing through KENTUCKY, then crossing into INDIANA). 10: Merge onto I-465 E/ US-31 N/ IN-37 N via EXIT 106. 11: Merge onto I-69 N via EXIT 37 toward FT. WAYNE. 12: Take the IN-1 N/ DUPONT RD exit, EXIT 116. |

I see the time estimate is 10.5 hours travel time. I never could decide if those estimates include necessary stops along the way. The true travel time might be longer. Fuel, food and bathrooms for human and canine? I would think the first thing to determine would be how far the person on the beginning leg is willing to drive north and how far the person on the receiving end is willing to drive south. When that is known, other folks could try to fill in between. Another consideration is if an overnight stay is necessary along the way. |
