Biting: Is this normal when.... ...a Yorkie (or any dog) becomes possessive of his whoopie cushion, bone, etc~? Tonight, Maxwell got huffy and tried biting me (or maybe he wasn't going to) when I was going to touch or move his cushion he humps. This past spring/summer he got possessive over his bone and literally about to take my hand off. I took him to a behavior specialist then. Anyways, I was wondering if this is normal for such behavior. |
Its normal "dominant" behavior...No submissive dog would ever try to bite someone. You need to work with your dog, and not allow him to bite or growl at you. He thinks that he's pack leader.. You will get alot of great advice from watching Ceasar Milan's Dog Whisperer. He will help teach you how to be pack leader. |

He is Def. trying to be the "alpha" dog---You need to try to submiss him to knowing that you are the top dog, and not him. Try putting him on his back to let him know you are boss. ;) |
