Lizzie going for spay/microchip/dental Please just say a little prayer when you can that everything will be just fine with baby Lizzie. I don't get to pick her up until Sat morning. I am sure everything will be fine-BUT like any momma-I am worried :(. |

Sending a prayer. It's nerve wracking but she'll be fine. :) |
Lizzie will be fine. I will be keeping good thoughts for her until she is home safe and sound. :) |
Aw I'm sure she'll be just fine!!! It's always scary when they have surgery tho!! |
aaaawww! I know how you feel..I went through this a few months back..Pixie had her spay, microchip, 7 baby teeth removed and her nails trimmed...thought it best to get it all done while she was under.. and she did brilliantly! much better than I thought she would! she's only tiny too..within 24 hours almost back to normal! your baby will do just fine!;) |
Bella had to arrive at the vet's before 0730 for prep, and they called us to pick her up at 3:30 (this wasn't one of those "low-cost" clinics: it's my regular vet and they charged nearly $500 for the spay and pre-op blood work!). She was groggy; all she wanted to do for the rest of the day was curl up and sleep. The next morning she was back up and moving around; by that afternoon she was almost normal - except I didn't want her to rumble with the other dogs. I was supposed to keep her "quiet" for a couple of weeks  - but that was it. I guess keeping the pup for a couple of days is normal in some areas. Consider: FL had to fight the insurance companies to keep a hysterectomy for women as an overnight procedure, NOT "outpatient" ... but unless there are complications, you still go home the next day. Your pup gets to luxuriate for two days!!! By the time she comes home, she'll be very OK. Less traumatic for YOU, too - to see her nearly normal. |
