Can you carry too much??? My Shorkie asks to be picked up constantly. And I pick her up. I don't mind. I love holding a snuggling her. She hardly walks anywhere on her own. Can I carry her too much? Probably a silly question, but I don't carry my other dogs. It would be kind of hard to carry around a 60 pounder all day. |
I don't think you can spoil your little baby too much!!! It seems our little ones are more demanding when it comes to being held, than our bigger dogs. My sister's yorkie would rather be held ALL day long...she's thinking about buying a little carrier...she can wear...and hold sophie at the same time...lol |
I have a little chihuahua, Bitsy, that wants to be held 24/7!! She loves going to the dog park to run but doesn't like to walk at all!! She has only walked around the block one time in her entire life and she is almost 5 years old!!! I don't mind carrying her since she only weighs 3 lbs!! |
I'd be a little careful to be sure your babies get some exercise. Their little muscles need it to stay strong. If they are carried too much, their muscles can weaken, just like a bed-ridden person who doesn't walk. I remember reading a caution somewhere when we first go little Sophie, and it stuck in my head. I know it's hard to deny our little sweathearts anything their little hearts desire! |
