Did anyone give permission to this Blog to post yorkietalk.com on it and use member's yorkie photos??

It does say that it was posted last year...

i just see some pics of member's furbabies.

There was a question a few months back if someone could post a banner and link to YorkieTalk, on their website, and admin said something about that was perfectly fine with them. The blog looks like it's about someone who loves Yorkies, and they have pictures of some of their favorites, I see nothing wrong with it.

I don't really get the big deal and I don't really get the nasty comments that were left on the post back in January. She/he gave credit to where she/he found the photos. Hm...

It is not so much a "big deal" ...... but I would like to know where the line is drawn in using photos that we post here on other sites.

If a photo is posted here, people shouldn't steal it, and you can ask the site owner to remove the photo if it's yours. The original poster still owns the photo, and I believe in an earlier thread YorkieTalk said that they would try to assist you in getting photos removed from other sites. I doubt if most people mind except when the photo is used on a broker or breeder's site.

Thanks!! That means that if you have a pic on this website.... it will be removed it you request it. That is a good thing.

I don't know the official laws pertaining to this, but I'm of the belief "poster beware". If you post it, its out there. There is no way to control what gets done with it. It's so, so easy to "save picture as".

Of course, it's none of my babies in the blog, but I don't see anything wrong with it. They gave credit where credit was do and are just trying to share their love of yorkies and all of the great sites out there.

Yep, harmless it is, but I wouldn't want my pictures used without my permission... regardless.

I found Yorkie Talk because someone here on YT used my You Tube video of my yorkies playing.

I was a little surprised, but as you can see, I have joined and become part of this community. I took it as flattery. But if you don't want your pic on their site, tell them! Sometimes its an innocent mistake and not knowing others may get upset.

I saw Kim's London - and after that I shut it down - too many people have way too much time on their hands....but if it were me - I'd want the pictuture GONE

The only thing that worries me is that if they use it they should put the Yorkie's name and the YT member the pic belongs too... It'll make it WAY better. One it makes it seem like he is a good webhoster/master and that he is doing everything legal. Two what if the original owners of those pics saw that and was like me and was a little offended. If i saw Paris on that site and the pic was used without MY permission i would be upset. But i guess different strokes for different folks


Its great advertising for YT but still some permission could be used for the pics.
