A Porkie?! :-) Hey everyone! Hope y'all are having a great Friday evening. Tonight, I totally surprised my mom. She moved and doesn't have me (since I am married) or my sister living with her any more. She just moved yesterday and is very upset about being alone. Sooo, being the super, great, sweet, loving daughter that I am, I got online and looked at rescues, shelters and the lovely Craigslist (haha). Well I just happen to find a PURE BREED PUG for FREE!!!!!!!!!! My mom has always wanted a Pug, but couldn't afford one, because like, me she is disabled. She has MS. So I emailed the ad and heard back. Today I spoke to the women and she felt my mom would provide her a great home. So tonight, I surprised my mom. I went to her new house with dog bowls, dog food, toys, treats, leash, collar, harness, poop bags, puppy pads, etc. When I walked in with that she was so confused. I told her to get into my car and that was that. We arrived at a Wal-Mart where we met the lady and my mother finally got her Pug. She is a year old and her name is Puppa. My mother is working on changing it to Lucy. My mother was so so so happy, it was PRICELESS! :D So it is safe to say, I won the daughter of the year award! :) Anyways since I got my Yorkie last week off Craigslist for free and she just got the Pug off CL for free, I wonder what would happen if we breed them? HAHA JUST KIDDIN! ;) That would NEVER happen, just thought the name PORKIE was cute. So do a good deed, it makes ya feel good! P.S. My Buddy is doing great on the humping issue. The spray bottle really works! Have a great weekend all! :woof: |
You def win daughter of the year! I heard a pug yorkie is a pugshire which I think sounds funny. |

I'm glad I stopped to read your story. You are a WONDERFUL daughter!!!!!!!!!! I am also glad I finally read something positive about this Craig's list thing, as all I have heard a horror stories. Mom and Lucy, have blast. |
Awww you are such a good daughter! My oldest yorkie was my moms. She always wanted a yorkie but never got one. She was 82 yrs old. She was sick and could hardly walk. I bought little bit for her for xmas. When i took him to her, i had him under my jacket. He was so tiny. I kneeled down next to her recliner and when little bit poked his head out....the smile on her face was worth it all! We lost her not long after that but she sure loved that little dog. I still have him and he means the world to me. |
What a sweet daughter you are. |
AWWWW. You're an awesome daughter and mum to Buddy. I demand pictures as soon as possible :D |
I almost didn't read this due to the title. I thought it was going to be a story about an overweight Yorkie. Not that there is anything wrong with that, or is there? I'm glad I read it. Very heartwarming, and you are indeed a wonderful daughter. |
Wow! You're soo the best daughter in the world. Just reading this made me tear up with joy as I thought about if anyone ever did that for me. I'm not a mother, but I sure would be enternally grateful... And congrats to the Pug would got a new home! |
