update~~~i got Rex an E-collar...he hate it...he hates ME for it |
Is there some sort of barrier you could put up to prevent those things from crawling into your yard???? |
no its an enclosed gate the crabs just find ways to get in :( the only way to do it is intoxiate the yard which might injure Rex :( |
Poor little guy. Please keep us updated. Rather than taking him to a vet, I think you have done what you can do at this point. Perhaps the vet can give him medication for the pain... |
ya now i can put the neosporin without him licking it  . how is hydrocortizon (sp) |
Aw. Poor thing!!!! That stinking crab  |
he bled AGAIN today! i am going crazy! i put a little hydrocortizone along with neosporin! if he doesnt stop by sunday i think imight just take him to the vet!! i dont know what else to do! |
My god! That crab is just terrible looking! I would get that self sticking tape and put it on with the Neosporin. I think that would clear him up. Plus, it would keep it from breaking open again. Pat |
i'm sorry ariella i'll keep you and rex in my thoughts! |
Poor Rex! I hope he heals up soon! |

Good thoughts coming to you and Rex ,.... that mean ole crab. |
hehe on a funnier note. 1 of my good friendz has a g shphard. she is a girly girl like me but when it comes to her baby, she is an ANIMAL LMAO! her dog was playin with 1 of those crabs (she lives on the canal, she has ALOT! ) she took a pole, smashed the thing, n threw it in the canal. talk about ANIMAL :p |
I was just thinking and wondering if you could use liquid band-aid on them. The kind I use has an antiseptic in it. |
Poor Rex. I'm sorry this happened to him. I'd keep it clean with peroxide, and add the neosporin sparingly. |
