Does your puppy sleep... ...in bed with you but completely under all the covers? Little Mac did last night. I had him in bed with me as usual. Up til last night he always slept on top of the covers curled up in front of my stomach. Last night he went under all the covers down to my knees and slept there. I kept waking up and having to check him to make sure he was still alive and didn't suffocate. I have two comforters and a bedsheet on top of me when I sleep - and he was under all that. He was fine and apparently loved it but I don't know if I should let him sleep under all the covers or make him stay out on top... |
:D Yes, Boo sleeps nearly all night under the covers. My DH and I like a cold room to sleep in, but I like lots of blankets too. So in the summer time while my DH only needs the sheet and one blanket, I have that blanket plus 2 others fold in half, so basically 5 blankets. Yes, I know, weird, but I just love how comfy it is to snuggle under all those blankets. Boo will sleep on my side of the bed, under all those blankets too. I have always wondered how he breaths down there, but he does just fine. He'll come out every now and then shake to fluff up his fur and crawl right back under. |
for a couple of days now, lexi jumps into bed with me under the covers, i guess shes alittle cold. i get nervous too when shes under there awhile. i try to pull her up a bit and i usually hold the cover open a bit so she can breathe.. so now im uncomfortable and shes not |
:DYes, mine do it too...there is nothing cuter than in the morning to see them stand up and run under the covers to get to the head of the bed to get out!:D |
When i first got Pasquale I was determined to have him crated trained at nite. Well he always woke up at least once a night crying having to go pee. One nite hubby and i fell asleep with Pasquale still in our bed from watching tv earlier that nite. He made it the ENTIRE night without crying. So from that point on ..he's always sleeps in our bed now AND he always has to be COMPLETELY under the sheets. Plus he cant sleep in the middle by himself..he HAS to be leaned up against one of us. |
Harls does it. She's been sleeping under the covers down by my legs ever since I let her sleep in my bed. Sometimes during the night she will crawl out and sleep between the pillow and the comforter. I guess she gets too hot. |
Yep.. Mia likes it under the covers. Pretty much all summer she didn't cuz it was pretty warm. But since the nights are starting to get cooler she's been more lately. |
Koda does it too! he will wait beside my bed until I pull back the covers for him to get in. It is SO CUTE! (and they are comfy and warm) |
:animal-paYes Casey just loves to sleep under all the blankets. :animal37 She likes the fuzzy blankets best..not really fond of cotton sheets though! What can I say, she definitely has a mind of her own!!:yay_jump: |
Gypsy does it. If she does not go there as soon as we turn out the light, later she will paw at me or the cover to tell me to hold it up for her. She will usually get next to my back. The prob now is Puff likes to get under there sometimes too, and Gypsy doesn't like sharing her bed spot. I think Puff does it just to mess with her. |
Harley doesn't sleep with us all night but once he does get in the bed, he sleeps in the same spot every time. I sleep on my side and he always curls up in the curve of my lower back. Since the night has been getting cooler, he now sleeps under the covers as close to my back as he can get! Jeri and Harley:aimeeyork |
When my Moses :aimeeyork used to sleep with me he always slept under the covers. They won't suffocate and if they get to hot they just crawl out. ;) But my baby now sleeps in his own little bed at the foot of the bed. He won't even get up when i go to the restroom. He is such a good baby! I think he loves his bed. And he knows exaclty what time I get up in the morning. As soon as I roll over he is there beside the bed waiting for me. :) |
We've only had Samson, our 7-month-old yorkie, sleep in bed with us two times since we got him. He's usually in his crate, right next to my side of the bed. However, he still sleeps under covers because he has his very own Coleman Hibernation sleeping bag in his crate. It's just like a regular sleeping bag - comfy and cushy, flannel on the inside, zipper up the side, Coleman tag on the outside - except it's sized for dogs!! Seriously, it's the best thing ever. We got it for when we go camping and bring our little guy with us, but we've been using it ever since it got cold because we like to leave our windows open at night. When we first got it, I opened it up and put Samson in it. Then I just let him explore it on his own. He kept crawling in and out of it. He loves it! So at night, I just open the bag up and he crawls right in, snuggles down into it, and I put the top over him and he's toasty and warm all night. Also, my bed is 24 inches high. He can't get up on his own, and if he decides to jump down on his own he might get hurt. Seems like this is on non-issue for others. |
Of course! As soon as we go into the bedroom at night, she waits for me to open her sleeping bag so she can crawl inside. Then, sometime during the night, EVERY NIGHT, she gets under the covers either beside my stomach or down by my feet. She also wears PJs to bed every night. If she can't get under the covers for some reason she'll dig and dig and nudge her nose with them wanting me to pull them up so she can get under them. :p |
