Crazy lbs to oz question Hello everyone! Captain Jack was neutered yesterday. They weighed him there and said that he weighs 4.12lbs. I weighed him on my little scale the day before and it said 4lbs 8-10oz(he wouldn't quit squirming). I'm sure the vet's is right and mine is wrong. I just want to figure how far off mine is. So is that 4lbs1oz; 4lbs12oz; or just 4.12lbs (whatever that comes up to in oz)?? And if it is just 4.12lbs how many oz is 0.12lbs???? Sorry I'm mathmatically challenged:D |
lol... I would read it as .12 lbs or 12 ounces. 16 ounces to a lb.;) Cheryl & Mandy |
When they come back an say 4.12 lbs then multiply that number by 16 and it will give you the total ounces, or you can just multiply the .12 by 16 and now you would have a dog weighing 4 lbs and 1.92 ounces....does that help. |

LOL, Lets just say Captain Jack is a healthy 4 1/2 pound furbaby:D:D:D :2hearts2: |
I think they are saying 4 pounds 12 ounces, and this comes very close to the weight you got when you weighed him at home, they can easily vary an ounce or two, in any one day. |
I would say that the .12 means 1.92 oz I had my puppy at the vet last week 2.06 lbs which was 2lbs .96 oz |
He'd surely be lighter in weight after the neutering :D |

But seriously....are there any vet or vet tech's out there???? I would really like to know if it is 4lb12oz or 4lb1.92oz. 10oz is a pretty big difference! I want to adjust my scale accordingly! Thanks for everyone's help so far!!! |

You could check your scale with some things, like food, you purchased that have weights close to 4 or 5 lbs. |
