Please send good energy our way for Jockey My little Jockey:aimeeyork goes in for his neuter today at 9am. I am used to this as I used to work for this vet when I was in college. He is 7 months old now and it's time to do it but he is just SO tiny. I think he must be close to 3 lbs now but I will find out today for certain. He will also be having some teeth pulled as his canines have come in in double rows. If you can spare some good thoughts to send our way we would very very much appreciate it. I know he will be fine but it is still hard knowing he will be under anethestic. Thank you all!:) |
Good thoughts on the way:love: |
Good thoughts for little Joey. He will be home in no time and then your only worry will be how to keep him calm! :) |
Keeping little Jockey in my thoughts and prayers today. :hands: |
Sending good thoughts your way..... |
We're thinking of you Jockey, best of luck for a speedy recovery! |
Big Hugs and Kisses Jockey, good luck today. |
Sending lots of XOXO's to Jockey today :) |
Awwww...thank you all SO much. He weighed 3.3 lbs when I dropped him off this morning and he was trembling something fierce....poor little guy doesn't understand what's going on.:( They said the vet would call me as soon as he was in recovery and that I can pick him up sometime between 1-3pm.:) |
TONS of love and well-wishes for Jockey!! (You know I had my eye on him somethin' fierce as a baby!! I was soooo glad to see him go to a great home!!) |

Ugh, I'm horrified. Sweet little Jockey. This is what happens when you surf at work. |
I wish Jockey an easy and speedy recovery  He should do just fine at that weight. Mocha was a smidge under 3lbs when he got neutered and all went well :) |
Jockey is back with me now and has been for a few hours. He is groggy and groans a bit with achyness. He has been sent home with some pain meds and is actually sitting up pretty alert right now. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks so much for the kind thoughts....we really appreciate it.:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
He's hungry and eating which I think is a good sign. He has peed a ton from all the fluids that they pumped into him during surgery. I hope he does ok tonight and gets some sleep. Big Brother Derby is very glad to have him back.:) |
So glad he is doing so great :). It is amazing how quickly they do snap back. Definitely use the pain meds, as directed, for the overnight if he hasn't had a dose for a while - you really want him to sleep well tonight and not be in pain (omg, I'm such an annoying nurse, aren't I?). I'll shut up now :p.... |
