Severe AtlantoAxial Subluxation ??? I know there are a few babies here on YT that have this... So please read this: Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: Posey-HELP NEEDED!: Petfinder If you can offer any advice and experience - please contact this rescue ASAP - I hate to see the words PTS when I know that these babies do have a chance.... |
Mybabe4me (I think that's her screen name) is very familiar with AAS/AAI. Maybe she can offer some advice. Thanks for posting, Nicole. |
My name is Vicki Barber my male yorkie suffered with AAI/AAS in January 2008 I will be glad to answer any questions you have pertaining to this disease. My email is vickicorinne@msn.com |
Actually, Posey is a little rescue that has come so far and actually doing really well. She has been in rescue for quite a while and her AAI is not repairable by surgery because her bones are too soft. It actually is a pretty wonderful story and she is doing great! I believe the last that I heard was they were fitting her for a permanent brace. I think that her adoptive family needs to live within a certain radius of the rescue. She is sure a little doll and a real fighter! *Go all the way down to the bottom of her bio and it gives a great update. If you go to their website they have some great videos of her romping around. :P |
Just checking in:) |
This is so strange because I was on petfinder last night and came across this little girl. She is so adorable and bless her little heart. I hope one day she finds the perfect home. She's certainly the little fighter. ;) |
