Any advice???? Help Please Our yorkie will be 9 weeks old tomorrow we got her on Tues evening. She ate fine the night we got her, Wed we got shots she didn't eat hardly anything during the day. Yesterday she ate really good around 5PM, and today she wont eat again. She will walk to the bowl and turn around. If I drop single pieces on the ground she will eat. Any advice??? I have even tried mixing in different foods but no luck so I know its not that she doesn't like the food. |
Is she peeing and pooping? They don't eat very much and if she is peeing and pooping you know she is getting food and water. Do you know about Nutrical which comes in a tube for small puppies? It is concentrated in calories and vitamins and good for preventing hypoglycemia. |
If she is eating the pieces off the floor... put some on the floor... at least you will know she is eating something. ;) Good luck! |
Have you tried to throw the kibble one piece at at time and let her chase it?? I used to do that with Kissy when she was a puppy. She would pounce on the kibble then eat it. She thought it was so much fun!! Mine all prefer eating off the floor too. They scratch it out of the bowl and then eat it off the floor! ;) What little stinkers they can be!! |
Yes she is still going potty. Also I have been just giving it to her off the floor just trying to figure her out. This is my first yorkie thought maybe it was an issue with the bowl or something. Even though she is eating off the floor it just doesn't seem like shes eating much. |
You can boil some skinless, boneless, ck breast and mix it a little with the kibble they like that:aimeeyork |
I had the same problem with my Yorkie who will be 11 weeks old on Monday and the vet said to feed her baby food. I do that when she doesn't eat, but I also mix her wet food with a Milk supplement mentioned by the vet. She likes the baby food more though. |
