Calling out Biogroom users... or any other great recommended shampoos for Yorkies! Hi Yorkie Talkers!:aimeeyork I am looking for a good recommended shampoo for my 3 trio gals, one has dry itchy skin... looking for one that works great on dry itchy skin and keeps them smelling good too! I was looking into Biogroom, but any other shampoo or input are very well appreciated!:dreaming: Those who use Biogroom, what do you use (there's so many to choose from and :idontknow which to choose?!?:confuse8:) and do any of you use their conditioners... ? Thanks Have a wonderful day:exclaim: |
Hello, I use some Biogroom products. The silk creme rinse and the mink oil spray. I also use, coat handler shampoo and Petsilk oil and coat spray. So far I love how they work with Friday's hair. On my other 3 I use Wags wheat grass shampoo and conditioner. It does wonders with their coats to. But I only use the other stuff for Friday because she is my showgirl and she has to look her very best. |
Thank you! I will look into it, Thanks for the reommendation! Quote:

I use Biogroom too, it's what Joey's breeder recommended, but hair products are a weakness of mine so I've bought lots of others to see what they were like, including Summerwinds Products, but I think the Biogroom products are still my favorite, we've used shampoos, conditioners, crème rinses, and texturizers, all made by Biogroom and love them. Their shampoos and conditioners are highly concentrated, and Joey's breeder recommended mixing them 1 to 4 parts water before using, and then you still would mix this solution with water. Little flakes can sometime be cause by not thoroughly rinsing, and shampoos or conditioners left on the skin can cause this. So make sure you rinse thoroughly after shampooing and conditioning, I set a time for 1 minute after I think I finished rinsing, just to make sure. Don't use too warm of water either, as this can dry hair and skin and strip it of its natural oils, so water should be lukewarm. |
Hi, sometimes itchy skin on the dog can be due to the corn and fillers used in the dog food. Shampoos may relieve it but not curing the underlying problem. Just trying to help :) |
Thank you! Thank you for sharing your expirence with me! Greatly appreciate it!:) Quote:

Thank you for helping, yes this is the reason we switched to a all natural, no grain food called Orijen, although it has helped alot:thumbup:, it hasn't taken it away completly. She is not as itchy as she was before we started Orijen, which is great progress! Thanks again Have a great day Quote:
