They are very cute...dorkies that is! :) |
Does anyone have a pic of a full grown Dorkie? 99% of puppies are adoreable and cute. I just want to know what it will look like as an adult. |
1 Attachment(s) My son has a dorkie, but his papers say he is yorkie/min-pin. He was told that a doxie is a yorkie/dach and a dorkie is a yorkie/min-pin. But it doesnt' matter. He's the little fella on the left, his sister is on the right. He's only about 6 months now, but he is one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. He has a yorkie face, gray coming in, his hair is in between and coal black, his ears are down but not long but his body is shaped like a min-pin. One thing great about him is his intelligence, he can learn anything and is already working on obstacle courses. He's about 7 pounds right now and very playful but sweet. He is gorgeous and smart! |
So cute!! But I would think a yorkie/min pin would be a morkie-porkie?!?! |

I grew up with Dashund's, and they have pretty good temperment for the most part. They are generally a "one person dog" in that they have obvious favorites. If you have small children already, they usually adjust well, but if kids are in the future i would not recommend it. they can be very jealous if Mommy has another baby... my parents currently have a 6year old dauschund, Zoey. She is very friendly, but very protective as well. She isn't very fond of small children at all. I am 20, and we have had 3, and none of htem have ever bitten anyone, they are growlers though. I will be getting a new apartment in August with a back yard, and am looking for a dorkie to keep me company! :aimeeyork |

My sister has a dachshund, it is so cute, and the person who posted about them having a favorite is true, well with my sister's dog anyway. She has three kids, he is good with them all but loves the oldest who is 9 the most. He sleeps in his toy box when William is sleeping at a friends house, and just follows him everywhere, they bonded instantly. He is the cutest little guy I have ever seen. The only problem she has is that he is very hard to train, he pees whereever he feels like going, which is kind of hard on my sister because he sticks up his leg and just goes. This could be a very big problem because apparently yorkie's are hard to train as well. |
I've been looking for over a year now for a "shorkie"= shih tzu/yorkie mix. They don't have the bulging eyes of the shih tzu nor the breathing problems because of the yorkie in it. They are absolutely adorable!! I'm looking for just the right one and i'll know when i find it. |
I think they are super cute! There is one on this page that is 6 months old...not full grown yet but gives you a better idea of what they might look like growing up... http://www.nanspuppypalace.com/Dorkiepupssold.html |
