UPDATE-

Bella's hernia operation ended today about 11 am. My vet said if far exceeded his worst case scenerio on how bad he thought it may be. Her bladder and intestines were all intertwined in the hernia. Her muscle wall behind her abdomen was torn from the pubic bone. She had a lot of scar tissue, making it hard to find good tissue to close her up. He said NO NOTHING for 2 weeks. Out to pee and back in the crate. :( Won't that be fun. He's keeping her overnight to monitor her pain.

I didn't even ask what the bill will be, truthfully today.. I don't even wanna know. :rolleyes:

I might have to delay the dental for awhile, but this had to be done, I noticed in the last few days it's hard for her to pee, now I know why. Poor lil' thing.

I'm just glad it's over and she's ok. ;)

Congrats on your new baby! Glad the bill was less than expected, that is ALWAYS a nice feeling ;) . Can't wait to see pics.

that is good...in 3-4 weeks you wont know anything was done and she will be more energenic and healthy

Oooh my gosh! poor baby! I hope for a good recovery. I wonder if you give her merricks flossies (tendons) if some of those teeth may come out on their own?

She's really cute in her new hair cut. I'll bet it made her feel better, too.:) I'm very happy for you and her. She must have been so unhappy in that pound.

Your new little girl is blessed you found her and care so.. much to have her health problems taken care of. It speaks so much of you to give up your vacation for your Yorkie.
