I just want to see if it worked This is this techno challenged, dumb witted child's first attempt at a custom moving avatar following the directions my friends gave me....I am dying to see if it worked. |
It works!! now what are the directions so this dummy can try LoL :D |
Here you go, good luck.... |
Thank you Nancy 1999 for taking the time to write the directions out. The only thing I would like to change is to make Maya's name bigger, and that I can't figure out yet. |
Can someone explain to me how you post an animated gif in a profile message. I created it, but I don't know how to get it into the profile message where it will work., I have never been able to understand how you do that, and I get cute ones from members everyday. |

Thank you, But if I created it on this site Photoscape...how do I post it from there? |
Go to your desk top, right click and make a new folder, name it what ever you want, then go to photo scape, save your picture in that new folder, then you can go to photo bucket and save your image there, or you can come back to yt and make an album. You might have to resize your picture if you do this at yt, because they only allow so big. Once you get it into a album here, you click on the image, scroll down a little and the codes should be there, right click on the second box down I think,if it's not the second one, its the first one. Right click and copy then you just go back to visitor message and go to that(yellow) insert image box and right click and paste it. If you put it in an album here, you have to keep it in there, if you decide you don't want it anymore and you delete it, it will be deleted everywhere on the site. You are better off going to photo bucket and saving your fun stuff there. Bookmark photo bucket, so when you first sign on you go to your bookmarks click on photo bucket and keep it going while you are here at yt that way you can access it anytime you want. Believe me once you save everything at photo bucket it is so easy. It seems so complicated! but once you get it, it's very easy. good Luck!! pm me if you need any help! I'll try to do my best to help. When you figure this out your gonna have send your picture to me. lol... |

Great job on your avatar! Go to the editing part of the program to give the picture special effects. The first picture shows where you can find the editor part, don't go to batch editor, that's for something different. After you go to editor choose "object" the second picture shows where this is located. Then you will see a single "T" and a double "TT" as shown in the second picture, choose the single T, and as you can see in the third picture you can make your Text any size you want. When you finish your picture, save it, and then open the animated gif part of the program and use this picture. Another thing you might want to do in the editor part of the program is crop your pictures before you, make your avatar. If your avatar will be square, and you use a slightly rectangular picture, the results will look slightly squashed, so it's better to make the picture into a square before you make the animated gif. The animated gif than will resize the picture to the proper porportions. You will find the "croping feature" right next to "object." |

After you create a gif, and save it you can upload it to an album you created at Yorkietalk. This thread tells how to make albums, and how to paste the pictures on someones page. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ake-album.html. You can also upload your gifs to an album that you create on Photobucket, and you use the IMG code to paste gifs on profile pages. |
