I am so terribly sorry for your Mother's loss....I pray her other babies are okay... Thinking of your family |
The loss of a pet is just one of the hardest things to ever go through. Prayers to your Mom during this time. |
I am sorry for your loss it is heart breaking to loose someone you love. I am somewhat home cooking and still feeding some Royal canin, and or evangers. |
Im so sorry for your loss :( the problem with Nutro has been going on for too long, I have read several stories about dogs getting sick or dying from it, its about time they pulled it off the shelves!! |
I am so sorry for your loss. I used to feed my baby Nutro for about 2 weeks when we first got him but then I heard all the bad things about it and immediately threw it away and bought Innova. It was recommended by alot of people and it doesn't have the additives the others have, there is only one place I can buy it too. It's so hard to do whats right for these little ones when these companies keep selling things that are bad for them. Once again I'm so sorry for your loss, you and your mom are in my prayers!! |
I feed Lily this! This is so scary! |
That is soo scary ! I am so sorry for the loss of little Mya, my heart goes out to your mom ! RIP sweet little Mya |
I am so sorry for your loss, how tragic. But thank you for the post. We used to feed our Brittneys Nutro Natural Choice and our yorkies Nutro Ultra with no problems but then a few months ago I started see complains about the food and we made the switch to Wellness. I agree it is so hard to trust anything anymore and I think the state of the economy makes it worse because companies are struggling to make it and then they cut corners and things like this happen. |

I just got Bailey last week and the breeder had him on Nutro lamb and rice so that's what I bought :( but I had planned to switch to a better quality later anyway so I guess I'll start now. Just now checked the label and it says made in usa but I wonder how many different dog foods are made in China. That's scary! |
im so sorry for your familys loss.. may she rest in peace.. prayers are going out to your family |
I am so very sorry for your Mom's loss. When I first got Pepper, I had no idea what to feed him. My b/f suggested, Nutro Ultra, as that is what they have been feeding his mom's German Shepherd. So not knowing any better that is what I gave Pepper. But then I found this wonderful site and learned how bad Nutro is, so started him on Blue Buffalo, but he didn't like the little life source bits in it. So now, Pepper is on Wellness Just for Puppy. He is doing really well on it. |
I am extremely sorry to hear about the loss of your mom's yorkie. Please give her our condolences, and thank you so much for letting us know. I had not heard this about Nutro foods so I have sent emails to everyone I know, including the link you provided. It will help make everyone aware that this food is killing so many dogs, and help to get the word out now before more dogs are killed. Again, I'm so sorry and I hope your mom's other dogs will be okay. |
Oh I am so so sorry! this is just awful!! what is it in the dog food thats making them so sick?:( |
Oh god, Mya looked just like my Mocha *cry* Breaks my heart.. I'm so sorry for your loss. All these problems with dog food, I worry about my babies all the time, but at least they seem to be doing really great on orijen. So, so sorry for your loss.. |

Therefore, unless the manufacturer is very careful with their suppliers, even the BEST of them can get contaminated ingredients - but they're not responsible to put the origen disclosure on the bags. Look at it this way: When the U.S. market got all up in a huff about the addition of melamine (supposedly used to boost protein levels) in our DOG food and refused to buy it, the Chinese decided it would be good enough to add to baby formula. HUMAN baby formula. I have no idea where their sense of morality is. Melamine used to be used for plastic plates, cups, etc. Fancy stuff for homes, inexpensive stuff for diners and the like ... because it was plastic, long wearing, and didn't break. Please explain to me how *plastic* can be a protein source? Meanwhile, it's getting nearly impossible to feel safe feeding our furry companions anything that's purchased in a store :(. |
