Biewer Yorkie ??? Have any of you ever heard of a Biewer Yorkie before or seen one. While i was "surfing the web" I came across a few sites on these types of Yorkies. I am not sure what they are mixed with, possibly a Maltese? However the costs are tremendously high and I see they are not recognized by AKC either. I just don't understand the reasoning behind the high charges for these mixed breeds lately? The pictures that I have seen so far of these Biewer's are adorable, mixed with white coloring etc but bottom line is they are a mixed breed which is fine, as mixed breed dogs are great also, but again cannot comprehend the high costs for them. The breeders on these web sites make it seem that they have created this special breed...I wonder where the term "Biewer" came from ? |
the biewers are a yorkie, but with a genetic anomely that makes the coloring off....... from what i understand.... |
Beiwers are from Germany, there are a couple of breeds that have some on this sight, thye can tell you alot about them. I will send you a site that has parti-yorkies which from what I understand are completle different from a Beiwer and are AKC. I have seen soom really cut beiwers.................Cindy |
Biewer I have a German registered female Biewer...her name is Isabella and she is 5 months old..had her shipped from a breeder in Germany. My friend has 4..one is an AKC registered Parti-color...niether Biewer or Parti are mixed with anything, they are a genetic mutation. |
Ps PS..Biewer is the name of the German breeder who developed the line 20 yrs ago...as I am told. |
Yorkierose - Id like to see a picture of your little Biewer if you can. Thanks for the info you gave...I was real curious as I had just never heard of them before? |
I would love to see a picture or a link with pictures to. I have never heard of them. But they sound adorable :D |
1 Attachment(s) Here I found one on biewercoa.org They are cute. |
Now that is just toooo cutttteeeee for words! What a little darling!!!! :) |
i showed teh picture to my fiance and his reaction was more or less "what did they do to that yorkie!!!!!!!!!".....lol..... but i agree, i think they are beutiful dogs .... dont think i could ever get one though..... a white coat (even if it is a little white splotches) wouldnt really be good in our neck of the woods, he would get dirty like no other and uyou would actually be able to see it.... :p at least with a yorkie it hides the dirt (thus far).... For those who are wondering why my dogs get so dirty: my family and i have a habit of going camping, we hike (i would NEVER take him off the leash for fear of wild animals  ), we havent gone to the beach yet but im sure toby would love it, and we also walk him along the beach trail ........dont worry i give him a bath twice a week |
